[tr] The young man reclined in front of his dek in his new home. He stares up at the ceiling of the flat grey building, his room (like the rest of the village) rather stark and unlively. Though thinking back he supposed Kirigakure wasn't too much better. Stationed in the far away village of Iwagakure he grows homesick quickly, his mind wandering back to his home and everything he left behind taking this post. ... "Shingetsu!" he could almost hear his mother now, yelling at him as he ran away from her his short litle legs waddling forward only four years old. He grins as he waddles, and one could see his teeth filed down as soon as they came in into the traditional pointed fangs of the Hozuki clan. "Noooo!!~" He calls back to his mother cheekily giggling like it was all a big game, for to him it was. Soon he spotted a small tree on their estate. In bloom Sakura petals danced in the sunlight. As quick as his legs would take him he lept at it's trunk and started scaling the bark quickly climbing into it's branches, barely escaping his mom's reach. " Can't catch meee!~" He giggles uproariously as he clambers higher and higher.swaying in those thin uppermost branches he would look out in awe. The sun was bright today and Kiri's ever prevalent Mist had receded back onto the ocean. Looking out over that bright vista he smiled and laughed feeling like he could see the whole world from that tree. He knew someday He would become a ninja and see that world.. whatever lay beyond the ocean's Mist. As his young eyes sparkled in wonder far above her, his mom looked up worried. "SHINGETSU HOZUKI YOU GET DOWN THIS INSTANT AND PUT SOME DAMN CLOTHES ON!!!!" Little Shingetsu giggled, his paleish birthday suit shining in the sun. ... *Chuckling still he thought to himself.* "I suppose I'm there now?.. I'm a chuunin now... That's stil weird to think about.. me being a chuunin. It's been Years but I still feel like I was a fresh academy student yesterday. I wonder how Kotetsu-sensei is doing?..." ... A now... thankfully fully clothed Shingetsu sat at his desk beneath his blank white mask with the rest of his class-mates. All of Kotetsu-sensei's students were required to wear them at all times. It was to help them dehumanize their classmates so that spars would be as brutal as possible. Shingetsu liked sparring he really did, but he quickly came to realize he wasn't like alot of Kiri-nin. He had refused to file down his true teeth when they came in, and despite his fathers insistance his mother convinced him it was just a phase and to choose when he would file his teeth down eventually. So when Shingetsu sparred.. he would always get defeated. Soon, despite his test scores he was ranked worst in the class. But, he kept trying. He wouldn't allow himself to be denied just for this. Being a Shinob was different, even without the masks he knew these kids were his comrades. Real enemies would be different right? Things went on like this for awhile, whenever he would act up Kotetsu-sensai brought him back down brutally. Shingetsu couldn't stand it, he thought he would have to quit.. it would bring shame upon his family but he had no choice. Walking home from what would be his final class, fate fell on him like a guillotine. A drunk chuunin weilding a large axe stumbled in frontin front of him out from an alley-way, knocking Shingetsu right onto his back. "Eeeeeeh?!" The man glared down at his small form. "Y-yah wanna star' som'in'?? I dun care what sh' sa... says -I'm- no' small.. -You're- small!" Raising his cleaver on high as Shingetsu screamed. The man suddenly tumbled to the side, blood spraying from his neck onto Shingetsu. The young boy blinked. "Ko...Kotetsu-sensei??" He exclaimed just now noticing the silent figure who plunged the kunai into that man's neck. The man looked down on Shingetsu and sighed before looking to the already dead man. "####### troglodyte.. thinking he could harm a hair on my student's head." He would refocus his attention on the cowaring Shingetsu. "This is what I was trying to train you for... You could have escaped had you been in the right mind kid... But, you froze.. for a split second you thought. 'My comrade wouldn't do this to me.' And... to a degree I envy that. without treasured Nakama our life would be pointless. But, you need to learn that everyone can turn on you under the right circumstances. They could be spies, Or it could even be a simple henge. In the world of shinobi you need to look underneath the underneath and expect anything." Kotetsu paused before handing the bloodied kunai to Hozuki. "Kid don't forget this this, you're insulting your class-mates by not giving them everything you have when they're trying their very best. Remember this night, and I'll see you at school tommorow." After that Shingetsu gained a new respect for his teacher. And a new understanding of his training. Throwing himself into it he quickly rose in his classes standing, though he did not reach the top five he was a respectful twelth in his class of 30. ... "Good times... after I got over hurting the other kids.. Spars actually got to be fun. We all tried our best and no one went away with anything more than physical sores. Mm.." Stretching the Kenjutsu specialist would look out his window, Sedina leading a group of fresh-faced genin towards the training ground. Chuckling to himself he muses. "Mm I wish my genin instructor was anything like her." With a grin he thought back to the old rickety jounin that srved as his squads leader, the man was so old he was assumed to have called the first Mizukage a "whippersnapper". And he was grouchy enough for two men of his age. "But I suppose there was no one better.." ... "Hozuki! tighten up that stance you're a disgrace to your family!!" Old man Akiba yelled at Shingetsu as he struck his squad-mate Eiji with the flat of his blade. Spinning around Shingetsu would yell "Stop yelling old man I'm winning!!" After which Eiji punched him hard in the gut, so hard he crumbled to the ground immediately. "Not anymore yu're not! Kekekekeke" Akiba laughed madly. "Now you're lying on your side like a punk and a disgrace.. So next time tighten up your stance or at the very least don't be distracted by your opponent." Laying on the ground Shingetsu cried in those long continuous streams only a hozuki would be capable of. "Now get up... I suppose such a worthless fighter like you will need a technique to avoid getting hit even if you are distracted by the latest shiny coin you find on the ground. Though with your horrid skill in ninjutsu you'll need every trick I taught you to even learn this..." "Akiba..... dono..." Shingetsu spit out, the man refusing to only be called 'sensei'. "what exactly could do that?" "Stealth is the foundation for everything we do. If your opponent can't see you they'll have a hell of a time hitting you right?.." the old man grinned mischieveously. "Hai... But you didn't answer my question." Shingetsu replied flatly not impressed by such an academy line. The old man hit's him hard over the head. "DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT??" "Hai hai..." TT.TT And so Akiba picked him up and laid the foundation for Shingetsu's whole style of fighting. through weeks of arduos training, made even worse by his constant berating. Shingetsu mastered the Kirigakure jutsu. ... Years passed by, well two at least. Shingetsu was taken under Akiba's wing whether he liked it or not, and continued his brutal training under him with his squad of Eiji, the strong silent type taken to an extreme, and Haru a rather loud genjutsu user. Followed their leader Akiba along a long dirt road. The mission had came and went uneventfully and it now simply came sown to returning home to collect their pay. "OW!" Shingetsu yells out in pain clutching his face. "What was that for Haru?!?!" He flails Livid the young girl yells out, with her fangs bared. "THAT'S FOR TRYING TO LOOK UP MY SKIRT YOU PERVERT!" "Ehhhhh?..." He replis flatly looking to the side cleaning out his ear with his pinky non-chalantly. "Who would want to peak at your ###?.. it looks like a ten yer old bo- GGFFUUAA!" His words are cut short by another series of viscious slaps as she grabs his collar. Water splashing off as he protects himself. "SHINGETSU YOU SENSELES PERVERT. YOU ENEMY OF WOMe-..!!" Haru cut herself off as each of the three halts. Akiba's am stretched out while his face rows severe.. well more severe, but after a couple of years under him they had learned to read his moods. This was half-way between the time those B-rank missing nins had attacked them.. and when they stole his dentures as a prank, which means something -bad- was about to happen. Shingetsu frowned opening his mouth he only manages out "Sen" before his world is thrown into chaos. Ninjutsu and deadly bladed attacks seemed to melt out of thin air, as what must have been at least three squads of hunter nin surrounded them, no symbol of allegiance was apparent. Akiba blurred into action the geriatric Shinobi summoning forth a great encampent wall of water. Akiba yelled out one word: "RUN!" Shingetsu, though he would berate himself endlessly about it for the rest of his life lept into action and followed his orders. Forming a thick Mist he quietly dragged his squad mates away towards his island home... Akiba never made it back. After investigating the battle site the officials at Kirigakure decided the escape had been both well executed and prudent. They even promoted shingetsu to the post of Chuunin, it was the most shameful thing to ever happen to the young man, but he accepted it, promisin he would live up to the title granted to him. Soon after he discovered his affinity for earth element techniques and pushed himself forward, learning as much as he could for the sake of those he might some day teach. But he never forgot his teachers. ... "Those men were legends, without them I would be nothing right now..." He paused reflecting. "I really should stop talking to myself...."

.:: INTRODUCTION ::. The Hozuki clan are group of Suiton specialists that have learned to adapt the water within their own body into their techniques. Hozuki are known for their cool colored hair which range from white to blue and even purple, and each seem to have some skill in martial combat. Most Hozuki are known to be laid back and take things as they come, "going with the flow" sort of individuals - but when trifled with can show a new terror lurking within their depths. This clan has had a long since feud with the Kishida of Konoha, and seek to annihilate them as tension between both their villages have heightened.

-Suiton: Balancing Exercise Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: E Cp: 2 Description: The User performs a basic training exercise in maintaining their balance either physically or spiritually to keep their chakra in a constant and subtle flow with the water jutsu yet to be performed. PvP Effect: - 2 Cp to the next Lightning Jutsu the User performs, + 1 Vs. DC roll when learning Lightning Release lasts for 1 attempt.
-Suiton: Soaking Spray Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: E Cp: 2 Description: With a few basic handsigns the user is able to fire a small jet of water from their mouth. PvP Effect: 1d4 damage. (This jutsu requires no source of water.)
-Suiton: Water Spear Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Cp: 3 Description: The User performs 4 Handseals and then fires a pressurized stream of poisoned water with enough force to pierce a tree. PvP Effect: 1d8 Water damage + 2 CP damage.
-Suiton: Spiral Water Defense Jutsu Jutsu Type: Taijutsu Rank: D Cp: 4 Description: Pulling water from a source the user is able to place a thin membrane of liquid around their hands, moving with speed or strength they can strike against the opponent in a brilliant riposte the liquid travels slowly through the air and often leaves a thin wall like membrane in place PvP: Rank damage + 1d4 Can be used to block, when used to block the technique does 1 damage
-Suiton: Water Bullet Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Cp: 3 Description: The user drinks the equivilant of a cup of water, forms the projectiles in thier mouth and fires a burst of water at the target. PVP Effect: 1d10 (Doesn't need water around.)
-Suiton: Pond Basin Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: User performs 7 Handseals and pours water from their mouth with an amount enough to perform Basic Water Jutsus. PvP Effect: For 1d4 Rounds, C-Rank and D-Rank Water Jutsus are given a water source to perform Water Jutsus.
-Suiton: Water Whip Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: With 1 Handseal, the User creates an orb of water around their palm that can be formed and molded into a malleable whip. PvP Effect: Stun a target for 1d4 Rounds or until hit.
-Dark Clouds Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: The user creates a cloud of liquid substance to rain down onto the target. PvP Effect: The Targets up to 3 are coated in oil that may be ignited for 2d8, OR create a slick battlefield requiring a Dex check vs User's Wisdom check to attack or fall down unable to act for 1 round.
-Suiton:: Water Prison Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 4 + 2 per round maintained Description: utilizes water to imprison an opponent. The ninja forms the necessary hand seals which causes the water to form around the target into a spherical prison which only allows for limited movement. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a bunshin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby. PvP Effect: No Damage, User can hold the target in the prison for 1d6 Rounds, and or they run out of chakra or until the opponent beats an opposed wisdom check made each round vs the Original wisdom roll they were trapped with. The prison breaks when the person holding the prison, or the person within the prison, get hit.
-Ninpou: Hidden Mist Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Cp: 8 + 4 per round maintained. Description: Creates a thick fog concealing the user allowing for stealth attacks. PvP Effect: Lasts for 1d6+1 Rounds. The Following Effects then take place. 1. Before any attack is made you must first find your oponent. (Listen) 2. After you have found your oponent you roll MS to attack. 3. If the MS check fails you then roll your normal attack roll. (dex str wis) 4. Once a Genjutsu user passes their Listen roll they then roll INT. (No MS roll) 5. Doujutsu work at a -3 in the Mist. Special: Byukagun can see through the mist. Special: Inuzuka may roll a concentration in the stead of a listen check for there smell. Special: This jutsu has a cool down of one round after it has dissipated due to excess use of chakra to fill the area with mist. Special: Any B Rank or higher Wind Jutsu will automatically disperse the Mist. (Unless the Mist user rolls a higher Wisdom) (Must Be Hidden Mist Ninja. Doesn't need water around.)
-Suiton: Water Defensive Wall Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Cp: 8 Description: The ninja summons a wall of water to protect him from attacks. PvP Effect: Used as a defensive jutsu to block. +3 to your WIS roll to defend yourself. (Requires a near by water source.)

-Doton: Earth Screen Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Cp: 3 Description: The User performs 2 hand seals and stomps the earth as a thin slab of earth hastily rises to protect them from an attack, even if the slab fails to endure the attack it softens the blow. PvP Effect: Block, if failed - 1d4/2 Damage from the attack.
-Doton: Minor Stone Explosion Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Cp: 3 Description: The user molds chakra in their mouth, forming a stone, and spits it at the target, making the Snake seal to make it explode with M80 strength. PvP Effect: 1d10 damage.
-Doton: Hands of the Dead Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Cp: 3 Description: The user handsigns then raises his/her arms as the ground raises around the targets legs, pulling on them and making them move more slowly. PvP Effect: gives the target -1 to DEX rolls for 1d4 rounds
-Doton: Castle Walls Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: The User performs 5 Handseals as the ground begins to shake and erupt with a dense earthen wall surrounding a large group. PvP Effect: Block AoE, even if it should fail lower damage applied to everyone by 1d4.
-Doton: Underground Projection Fish Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank:C Cp: 5 Description: Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent. By utilizing earth-chakra, the person can stealthily emerge from the ground without disrupting the ground around him. PvP Effect: The user hides automatically and is undetectable by normal means(Regular spots and listens). Things that see chakra (Byakugan, Sharingan) and other work arounds (such as Inuzuka scent) can still find the target using a successful check v.s hide. The user can stay hidden this way for 1d6 rounds. When the user emerges and wishes to make a sneak attack, it's a move silently+10 v.s listen.
-Doton: Inner Decapitation Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: The user reaches up to grab the targets legs/ankles and pulls the target underground with them (or possibly swaps places with) so that only their head is above ground. PvP Effect: This must be used after Underground Projection Fish Technique. If successful, the target is immobilized for 1d6 rounds or until hit.
-Doton: Fists of Stone Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: the user handsigns (Snake) and sticks his hands into the earth. He/She then withdraws his hands with gloves of earth. PvP Effect: adds 1d4 to taijutsu dmg for 1d4 rounds
-Doton: Boulders Falling Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: The user handsigns then stomps as 3 boulders form in the ground and raise into the air, at the user’s command he sends the boulders at the enemy. PvP Effect: 3d6.
-Doton: Earth Spike Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: C Cp: 5 Description: The user handsigns (Boar, Snake, Dog, Tiger, Snake) and brings forth a sharp earth pillar from the ground to impale the targets leg or stomach PvP Effect: 3d6 damage to the enemy. Could be used defensively with a WIS roll. If used defensively against a Taijutsu attacker, the blocked opponent suffers 2d4 damage.
-Doton: Iron Fortress Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Cp: 8 Description: The User performs 8 Handseals as reinforced earth hardened by the Users chakra erupts from the ground and is capable of withstanding almost anything. PvP Effect: Block AoE, + 2 to roll.
-Doton: Grassy Quills Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Cp: 8 Description: The User performs 10 Handseals causing the earth to tremble. the User molds the ground to draw out small rocks, pebbles, and other debris only to launch them at the target in a hail storm. PvP Effect: + 4 Vs Dex Rolls, 1d20 Damage.

Disarming Strike Justsu Type: Kenjutsu Rank C Cp: 5 Description: The user would make attack using the side of their weapon to force their target to drop any weapon they may be holding. [Daibakuryuu no Jutsu - Great Exploding Current Technique] Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Cp: 8 Description: The user whips a large mass of water into a raging violent whirlpool that reaches and drags a target into the depths of the body of water. PvP: (Requires being near a Water Source) 2d10 DMG + Stun for 2 Rounds or until hit. STR / WIS Vs ATK DC to break free.

| AraumiPassed down in the Hozuki family for generations this venerated blade is seen as one of the treasures of the clan.
When held by a Suiton user the heavy chakra layered and imbued into this blade's metal springs to life. Glowing a soothing and mystical blue, it would seem light for it's size and using a small chakra activated latch a smaller lonsword sized blade can even be detached and wielded in tandem, the great sword light enough to be wielded in one hand at that point by one experienced enough in blades. But there is something more to this blade than simple ease of use and from this unique trait, and this is where it draws it's name "Riptide" from.
A Riptide is a powerful current away from the shore which can pull swimmers, boaters and surfers dangerously far away from the shore sometimes even pulling the unaware under water and drowning them. And like a rip tide these blades draw chakra rapidly from those it strikes tiring the target while restoring the wielder.Custom Greatsword: Price: 100 tokensEffects: -No weapon Penalties -+1d8 cp drain(if both the wielder and the target posses the water element the chakra flows easier: add an additional 2 cp drain) -Paying 3cp as a free action the user may split off a longsword sized blade from the main body to dual wield the pieces taking the normal -2 dual wield penalty and adding medium sized off-hand weapon damage for their level (though there is no set duration the blades automatically lock back together if either is released from the users hand requiring the unlatching cost to be paid again) | |
