Personality: Qiao Jiao Lin is very gracious and formal, having been raised in a wealthy and aristocratic family. She’s as delicate as a spring flower, and just as pretty.

Clothing:
Everyday Wear: Qiao Jiao Lin’s everyday clothing is a Chinese hanfu style outfit. It is a dress made of a light sky blue colored silk. It is very loose fitting, and instead of being sewn together it is folded around her and held together by a waist skirt that is tied together on her lower back. The waist skirt is also a light blue color, but it has a floral pattern on it. The sleeves of the dress are loose, but not so loose that they hang down excessively like her formal outfit. This outfit is designed to be elegant, but less likely to get caught on things should she be caught in combat wearing this outfit.
Kung Fu Outfit: Her kung fu outfit is very simple, and is worn during missions, training, battles, etc. It consists of a silk shirt, pants, and kung fu shoes. Her shirt is a dark green color to make it easier to hide in forests and plains of the leaf country. The sleeves are long but aren’t loose and don’t dangle like her everyday outfit, and they are cuffed tightly at the end to prevent things from going up her sleeves and getting caught. Qiao Jiao Lin’s pants are a dark grey color. There is a green sash that is tied around her waist where her equipment hangs off.
Formal Outfit: Qiao Jiao Lin’s formal outfit is much more beautiful than her everyday wear. There are three parts to it the upper garment, skirt, and waist skirt. The upper garment is a short dress that goes down to just above her knees, the skirt is a long skirt underneath the upper garment, and the waist skirt holds it all together. The upper garment and skirt are made from a white silk and embroidered with gold and silver Chinese dragons. The waist skirt is a shiny gold color. The skirt also drags on the ground a little bit, and the sleeves are very loose and hang down a lot more than her other outfits.
Brief History:
Qiao Jiao Lin was born and raised in a rich aristocratic family. She spent most of her life as a child being taught by her mother, Xiao Qiao. Her mother stayed at home and taught Qiao Jiao Lin like it was her job. She taught her how to read and write, how to dance, and taught her how to be a gracious young woman. Qiao Jiao Lin rarely ever left her family’s estate as a result of her education, and she only ever got out when she went to various formal occasions.
Qiao Jiao Lin was told that fighting is not necessary, and that it is far more glorious and honorable to love others than it is to fight them. Qiao Jiao Lin never learned much about politics outside the Leaf Village, so she grew up without really understanding about war in fact she barely knew what a ninja or a samurai was.
But one night on her way back from a ceremony with her family the village was attacked. She saw people killed by bandits and drop dead right in front of her eyes. All she could do was cry and watch as people got mercilessly slaughtered and it was the first time she had ever seen violence. But then the ninjas of the leaf village arrived and wiped all of the bandits out in a flash. Qiao Jiao Lin changed that day, and she became to grow curious about bandits, war, and ninjas. Her mother wouldn’t tell her anything, saying that it was nothing that a lady should be concerned with. So she asked her father, Tsai Zing, instead. Her father told her about war and battle, about how the different countries constantly fight each other, and about the ninjas that serve as tools of war.
Qiao Jiao Lin didn’t understand it, why people feel the need to kill one another when it’s easier to love the people around you like her mother taught her. On her sixteenth birthday she made an announcement to her family. She wanted to join the Leaf Village’s ninja academy for two reasons: To find the answer as to why people fight, and to also one day bring peace to the world by uniting all of the countries into one.
And so she left her home and despite her mother’s protest joined the ninja academy. She met a young girl there named Iseiko who showed her around the academy and explained a few things to her. Qiao Jiao Lin has a long way to go before she becomes an able fighter, seeing as how she stood in front of a dummy and asked "What am I supposed to do?" and then when she finally figured out how to punch it she hurt her hand. She really knows absolutely nothing about shinobi, to quote Iseiko she's "that new".
