Description: This is a basic technique known to all Genin. Bunshin no Jutsu creates a clone of the user, which can used to create a diversion or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these clones aren't real, and thus cannot do any damage.
PvP Effect: As long as the bunshin is maintained when being attacked the attacker must roll 1d6. On a 1-3 the bunshin is attacked, on a 4-6 the real target is attacked.

Description: Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent. By utilizing earth-chakra, the person can stealthily emerge from the ground without disrupting the ground around him.
PvP Effect: The user hides automatically and is undetectable by normal means(Regular spots and listens). Things that see chakra (Byakugan, Sharingan) and other work arounds (such as Inuzuka scent) can still find the target using a successful check v.s hide. The user can stay hidden this way for 1d6 rounds. When the user emerges and wishes to make a sneak attack, it's a move silently+10 v.s listen.

Soken was older now. He was still a missing Ninja. He would close his left eye, the one that lacked an actual eyeball, as he grimaced. He had black robes on, his left arm covered in large amounts of wrappings and his hood was pulled up. He was seated on the edge of a cliff as he looked up at the sky. Musing, speaking. But... who was he talking to? Any on lookers would be obviously confused as he listened to the old man rant and rave.
"The last... Huh? I can't believe it, Li-Chan. I spent my entire life searching for you after I lost you during the wars. I remained villageless, like I told you I would if Kiri fell... Can you imagine that? It's been lonely, Li-Chan. But I've always held hope I would find you. I still do. I will find you."
The old man would slowly stand, staggering a bit as he looked at his leg. What was wrong with it..? He would frown, pulling the leg up before grimacing, nodding. "That's right, Old Soken... You lost it just like you lost your arm... the new metal limbs they make today are so invaluable."
He would move then, limping a bit on the metal limb as he took out his sword, using it as a cane as he moved. Yes, he was definitely older now... how old was he? He guessed he was about sixty years old now. He would grin, showing off the gaps in his teeth as he thought back on his entire life. From Kirigakure Chuunin to a ruthless missing ninja. How did this happen...?
He would shrug now, before his ear twitched. He would turn to see a man with a mask. No... not just one... there were more than one. He would slowly lower his hood as the man spoke.
"Kotai, Soken. Self-proclaimed leader of the roaming Kotai bloodline. Missing Ninja from Kirigakure. Assassin of the Mist. Your crimes have been brought before the Kage's and it is time for your life to end. Prepare yourself."
Soken would look at them. There were at least twenty. He'd had worse odds... but that was when he was younger. He would remain impartial to them as he slowly unwrapped the black cloth from his left arm. And he would reveal his five-hundred pound metal arm of destruction. His one eye would focus on the Shinobi, before he dipped his head.
"Forgive me, Shinobi. I do not want to know the names of those I kill."
He would move then, quicker than they had time for, as he tore into them. The world would warp around them, the Earth bursting from the ground as he was enhanced. The ANBU responded, attacking him back. This fight was waged deep within the forest of Konohagakure.
The battle was long and intense. The ANBU had realized swiftly that the reason he had survived so long was that his skin was like trying to cleave into a boulder. He was monstrous. And he wasn't exactly... angry. In fact, it seemed as though he had lost his resolve. But, the battle finally ended... and Soken stood amongst the bodies of the ANBU.
"Gomen."
He would snap as he set their bodies aflame, a funeral pyre for them. He would walk further into the forest, feeling a wetness spreading from the left side of his chest.. he was tired. He would blink as he wrapped his arm up again, looking at his chest... before smiling.
He would move to a tree near-by, before he laid back against it and slid down. A light trickle of blood would move from his lips as he looked up at the sky. A smile on his face as for the first time in fourty years, he felt... he felt like he was alive. Truly alive.
He smiled again... speaking slowly. "Li-Chan, I'm going to take one of my famous naps again... Wake me up... when you come back..." And his head would slump back, his eyes closed, a smile on his face, and his famous arm on his lap, his kirigakure headband welded into it. | |
