| .:: PAST ::. Born into the warrior class of the Ryuutei clan, his father a true Ryuutei able to harness their unique chakra, his mother a medical ninja of the clan who accompanied his father on his missions, he was very young when his mother and father went out on a mission and never returned. Left in the care of his older brother he began his warrior training. At age 7 his unique Ryuutei chakra surface at the age of 7 during a fight between children his chakra exploded and he flew into a rage pummeling 3 other kids of his age and sending them to the infirmary. His training progressed rapidly from that point, under the tutelage of his brother and a few other Ryuutei Clansmen he developed into a powerful young swordsman, going on missions with his brother and a few other select shinobi. As he grew older, his missions grew more and more violent, he and his brother having to call on their rage on nearly every mission they were sent on. Finally one night his brother came to his quarters and took him out into the forest. When he was sure they were alone, his brother produced a small notebook; revealing to Kojiro that he believed their parents deaths were orchestrated by someone in the clan. Telling the younger brother that his father had been researching how to better harness the unique chakra of the Ryuutei clan, how to draw on its power without becoming a raging berserker. Relating to his younger brother the final knowledge of their father; that the rage that fueled their unique chakra also blinded them; that if they could create and train even a handful of warriors that could call on that power at will the Ryuutei clan could again become a global force. Sadly though, their father and mother had been unable to achieve anything close to this and had passed the research and documents on to their oldest son shortly before their deaths, and so Shimada was passing it down to him. He warned Kojiro to keep the book safe and to never tell anyone of its contents. They returned to the building where they were staying to find one of the higher ranked Ryuutei clansmen there looking for Shimada, there was a mission for him. That was the last time Kojiro saw his brother, Shimada was killed and the very next day Kojiro packed all his things and slipped into the night. Over the next two years, he sold his skills to the highest bidder, when there were jobs available. Most of the time he just struggled to keep himself fed and clothed and slept under the stars or in barns for the most part. This had an intense effect on his world-view and what he thought of people, slowing turning him into a gruff cynic who trusted no-one. | |

| Taijutsu Known
Taijutsu (体術; Literally meaning "Body Techniques") is a basic form of jutsu that typically does not require chakra, but chakra may be used to enhance techniques. Taijutsu generally require no hand seals to perform and are much quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is simply put, hand-to-hand combat, or weaponry. Although it is used by nearly all ninja, some characters use taijutsu almost exclusively like Rock Lee and his teacher Might Guy, and are experts of many taijutsu techniques. Example of taijutsu techniques are Dynamic Entry and Leaf Whirlwind. The Hyūga clan's Gentle Fist, however, makes extensive use of chakra and demands great skill in its control. The taijutsu techniques are the right choices for those that want to save their time and chakra, or for those who rely on their physical attributes. It can also be used in collaboration with ninjutsu to create nintaijutsu techniques.

| Ninjutsu Known
Ninjutsu (忍術; Literally meaning "Ninja Techniques") refers to any technique that utilizes chakra and allows the user to perform actions that a normal person otherwise would be incapable of doing. Unlike genjutsu, which causes the opponent to experience illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are real. Ninjutsu relies on chakra and, most of the time, hand seals to be effective. The hands are put in sequential positions that molds and manipulates chakra in the necessary manner to perform a jutsu. This is not always needed, however, and some jutsu become second nature to experienced ninja, after which they can perform them at will. Additionally, many ninjutsu can be classified as an elemental jutsu, in those cases where a specific element (wind, water, fire, earth, lightning) is used. It can be used in collaboration with Taijutsu to create Nintaijutsu techniques.

| Known Kenjutsu
Kenjutsu (剣術; Literally meaning "Sword Technique") pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be shinobi or samurai. Kenjutsu can be used in combination with taijutsu, ninjutsu and/or chakra flow in order to achieve more devastating techniques. The entire military might of the lone samurai nation of the Land of Iron, have so-far all been depicted as practitioners of kenjutsu. Among the shinobi nations, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist are particularly well known as kenjutsu practitioners. Also, a majority of Kumogakure shinobi are swordsmen.
