The Hyuuga Clan is recognized as one of the two founding clans of Konohagakure. The Hyuuga Clan gained a large amount of respect during their time in the Warring States period, and continued to rise in repute and power after Konohagakure’s foundation. Through careful application of eugenics and strong clan tradition, the Hyuuga have been able to keep their valuable Kekkei Genkai - the All Seeing White Eye [Byakugan] - inside of their own clan. To date, all Hyuuga kinsmen possess this ability, which grants them a greatly extended field of vision and the ability to see through solid objects, as well as the chakra circulatory system of other living beings. Hyuuga kinsmen are also unique in that they are the only widely known Shinobi who are capable of expelling chakra from any of the tenketsu throughout their chakra network. The combination of being able to expel chakra from their body, as well as being able to see the Chakra Networks of other beings has led them to create their own unique Taijutsu style - referred to as the Gentle Fist [Jyuuken].
The Hyuuga Clan, recognized as one of the three great Dojutsu Clans, are said to be direct descendents of the Shikaku no Tetsujin - or the Sage of Sight. They are considered to be one of the most powerful clans currently in Konohagakure, with their only rivals being that of the Uchiha Clan. Though they have been localized inside of Fire Country, many Shinobi from the other four great nations, as well as several lesser nations, know the Hyuuga for their prowess in Taijutsu, their above average intelligence, their All-Seeing Eye, and their ability to adapt to nearly any situation.

Hajime's younger days were not that much different then a normal boys, although he was taught certain things that most kids his age would not have to follow. His father was very strict on making sure he was aware of the situation with the Hyuuga clan, and that he could not act a certain way around those within the main branch of the family. Being shown how to act around the main branch was difficult for Hajime, as he has a softer look on life and wanted to be friends with all the younger Hyuuga around his age. Although this was what he wanted, he soon learned that it would not be possible, and spent a lot of his time at home helping his mother with the house work, and doing studies with his father to understand the Hyuuga family. With each year that past, Hajime's eyes were set on becoming a Shinobi, but it was not until he saw an injured Hyuuga walk through the gates of the compound and was quickly aided by a medical team, that he wanted to study this more. As he grew older, Hajime did not enter the academy at a normal age like those around him, instead he continued his study into the medical ways of a shinobi, and wanted to grasp the understandings of the Human Body, the Chakra Network and understand the fundamentals of how it all worked as one, before he joined. At the age of Ten, he finally joined the Academy, and this was when his journey to becoming a Shinobi began.

The academic work of the Academy was easy for Hajime, he passed all of his tests with a breeze and became one of the top students in his class quite quickly. Even with all of his tests being passed, his Ninjutsu being good, and his Taijutsu being extraordinary, thanks to the training from his father all those years before, Hajime still did not feel as though he fit in anywhere. The other children would always give him weird looks, for being so old and still in the Academy, but it was also the fact that he always wore a bandage on his forehead, to cover his mark. This did not bother him as much, as he was quite content on keeping to himself and studying the Medical ways. As he grew older, Hijame began to understand the ways of Medical Jutsu, the Hyuuga clan and the shinobi world in general. With each day that past, his knowledge grew, so did his body, his techniques, and his strength. Finally, at the age of 14, Hijame decided it was time for him to finish Genin exam, which he had failed purposely in the past so that he was able to stay in the academy and study further, and continue his road in the shinobi world. His mind set on become a great Medical Shinobi, and proving to his father, and the main branch of Hyuuga, that all Hyuuga are equal, no matter the branch.

Those that inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes. Although it is not stated directly, it is assumed that all members of the Hyūga family possess the Byakugan. It has been said that the Sharingan is a genetic offshoot of the Byakugan.The Byakugan is the primary focus of the Hyūga's special arts. When the Byakugan is activated, their pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge.- Abilities of the Byakugan:
The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra.The second ability is having the ability to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person. However, the third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, as well as the chakra circulation system inside another's body. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. Unlike the Strong Fist, which is focused on external injuries, the Gentle Fist style focuses on internal injuries. Each strike, when placed correctly, strikes along the Chakra Pathway System, which is the network of vessels that carry chakra. This network is closely intertwined with the functioning of the body's organs, and so, when the keirakukei take damage, the organs suffer as well. There is no defense against the Gentle Fist, since one cannot train one's internal organs to become stronger. The only possible defense is to stop the Gentle Fist's hits from connecting.
