Finding Your Affinity [Solo - Akenen Kyokute - Training Notebook] Stolen_dreams_by_kvdo

Simple was the keyword for most techniques that came out of his style. Two simple ranks of the E variety, one in Doton, and one in Yoton, both rather of utility than damage. He had enough usages for damage, as it were. Applying these techniques was the most difficult part, however. Though, in Wind Country, catalysts for Doton lie everywhere, it was all about application.

Bringing his hands up and placing them together, pushing through a few signs, he slipped backwards onto a rock face, trying to forcibly mold his Chakra in that motion of blending his body along the space to create an illusion of a Chameleon. It was off-beat, and it wasn't even the same hue. Akenen huffed slightly in annoyance, once more placing a hand on the rock. It was almost like becoming a rock yourself, at that, not moving, staying entirely still with the environment, and not breathing also came along with that. Stillness, was the name of the game.

This brought on the quality of a chameleon, allowing the user to blend in at a moment’s notice with a small set of handseals. While it wasn’t anything the eye of Chakra detection could hide, it was more than useful enough as a technique to gloss over the eyes of potential people who’d look over and give a cursory glance. A breath inwards, and expelling it, creating that short void of no breath in lungs allowing those mere seconds of heightened focus, he pressed his back against the face of the rock, made the number of signs which ended in Tiger, then he watched the outwash of Chakra flood along his body and cover it in that on-toned hue of Brown, only to land itself across his whole form, the man under this color completely still.

Another person stepped by, then another, and another. It was obvious he was running out of breath, but three people had not seemed to notice the man laying flat across the rock, unmoving. It was something he had not yet mastered, but it became more than practical for just himself, and hopefully, applied in a mission.

Next, he found himself a cropping of rocks, with a central area that was clear. He held his hand out and placed it flat on the pommel, allowing Chakra to rush through the blade to not create an edge, but a lingering signature. While he may have been able to 'feel' his own Chakra, he wanted to make that sense even stronger when it detached. He closed his eyes, spun, and let them fly high out into the area without him noting where they had landed specifically. This was his first technique in detection, and it was almost exhilarating to apply it in this manner.

A number of handsigns made their way across his hands, and a few pensive looks, but the general thesis behind the technique was to find a certain frequency that wasn't captured by the eye, but used and linked to Akenen's own Chakra to detect enemies on a Chakra level, as a certain pin-point system, using high-frequency light almost like Sonar, but in the way that could spread out even further to go for rather long distances depending on the circumstance.

With a few quick signs, Akenen placed his hands on the ground, a small pulse of Yang energy sliding outwards to obtain the position of the spare Kunai in the area. A basis has been taken from the frequency of attempting to disrupt Chakra networks, but with the exertion given on an E-Rank, it can only locate them. It still felt.. Vague.. Off. The technique itself was rather specific, but something he could improve. With another short moment of his own thought, he placed his palms together, rubbing them until either surface felt warm in between it. There were many ways to mold lights and link Chakra, and to do this, Akenen had found a way.

Making the same string of signs, he placed his hands on the ground once more, and that wave of light that was unseen by those with normal vision rushed out across the field, and each link was made at points, to create an almost weblike pattern to increase accuracy of the Chakra behind it. This technique was certainly proving useful, and with a bit more practice, it could have it's own practical applications to find hostiles even in the most dangerous of environments.

Another day of training was no different from the last, pressing fingers together in the number of seals he made, making said movements quickly and rapidly, each sequence being faster than the last. No chakra, no expunging of power yet.. Just.. Practice. He had his mind pressed with each seal, knowing the movements, combinations, meanings, uses, everything, and in this notion, he would be ending in Ram. It was a Handseal for power, bolstering his power was the thought, at a cost.

With a short sequence of handseals, ending in Ram, Akenen pressed his hands together, moving about the manipulation of Chakra to the form it was made, coating the two extensions of either finger in the ram seal with a thin sheen of chakra-infused steel, causing, upon release, what seemed to be 'amplified' techniques. It was a basic technique, but one that is used with much potential, and can create a rather loud ruckus, as the metal seems to reverberate when Chakra is shot from it. Though, it also seemed a bit loose, and a bit taxing if he was hit and it inhibited the movements from his fingers, also causing potentially a large bit of damage back..

He took a deep breath inwards, and outwards. He was going to soon create his first 'combo'. He lowered his hands, the slightly reverberating of the bluish hue of Chakra etching across the air around his hands like some sort of power-up, he wiggled each finger to get used to the slightly heavy feeling of metal upon them. Making these quick couple of handsigns he fumbled, and his fingers clacked together. A hiss fell forward from his lips and he shook his head, not yet used to making signs after that.

A few hours passed with the constance of pressing his fingers slowly into soft handsigns that slowly felt their speed increase, sign, sign, sign, sign, ram, monkey, rabbit, rat, each one continued in those orders, becoming more and more distinct as he ended in the Monkey sign, throwing his hands down onto the sand as sand shot itself upwards and a half-glass, half-steel blade rose forward, up through the ground, and shattered before him. It wasn't hard enough..

Flapping his arms slightly, he flexed the steel-laden fingers, a few drips of blood falling from them from the fumbling and constant friction of the steel grating the skin and causing such a reaction, but he paid it no heed. Hours and hours of training culminated to the combination of these two techniques, which, when used together, produced devastating effects. He brought his hands downwards and slammed them upon the ground after that number of symbols, the bluish chakra arcing through the catalyst of the two fingers, blowing outwards and into the ground, drawing up a few miliseconds later from the ground, the blade burst forward, and eidolon of steel, still arcing with that energy that came from his previous technique.

After that small event, he slowly fell to his buttocks on the sand, the steel on his fingers fading off and slowly dissipating into respective energies, as he laid back and sighed. That was a day of training that was a bit too long for him, and he was spent. Staring up into a now darker sky, he laid for a few moments, recuperating after such a long day of training.. And a bit of pain.
