DoT/HoT's and bonus damage

If you have a bonus to damage from say.. a slot, or high statistic..

Does the damage get added to the DoT total before halving? Or does it apply only on the first round?

In terms of DoT, they are halved (Rank+X+Bonus Damage)/2; in terms of direct damage with half rank CP (Genjutsu), they are added to total.

I was told specifically that this is wrong when making kains slots
The only thing added in the parenthasis is the rank damage + the damage on the jutsu. Bonus damage adds burst damage on hit. so it'd be (Rank+X)/2 for xDy rounds + bonus damage on hit

Notably, Kain's slot is adding DoT on hit when hitting with x Element, not Bonus damage to element.

the reason he doesnt have bonus damage flat is cause i was told that. But if that's changed, then You know what my next slot will be.
