Katsura Akagi was born into a minor family in Steel Country. Many years ago, during the Kazumori Incident (so it was called when Juno Kazumori was accused of killing his daimyo and fleeing the country) the Akagi family was charged with defending the daimyo. Needless to say, they failed. The shame of the Akagi family has stained their honor for almost a hundred years. In short order the family, once the best yojimbo in all of Steel Country, vanished into obscurity as many of it's members committed seppuku to cleanse their honor. Since then, the family has allowed itself to fade into obscurity.

Katsura and his family did not agree. Even as he was a student at his dojo he investigated tirelessly, studying history and hunting down information about the old daimyo. Days before his gempukku-the coming of age ceremony that every Samurai must undergo-he discovered the truth about a shinobi conspiracy to replace the Daimyo oh so many years ago. He brought this before his sensei, and the lord of his family. The sensei disapproved of his obsession and the lord took his slack in his duties as an insult and forbade him from completing his gempukku. Furious, Katsura investigated, and found that his lord was being bribed by shinobi to keep the investigation from fruition. Blind with rage of the shame that his lord had brought he drew his blade and slew the corrupt lord. He injured the shinobi, but he escaped, leaving the only evidence a wealthy lord-to none's surprise-and a dead body. Katsura was shamed greatly and his family demanded his seppuku for his actions. Knowing that the shinobi were still out there-in particular the one that corrupted his lord-and knowing that no one would believe his words, he took his katana and left, scarring his face and taking on the name Hohiro.

Spoiler:
[Bushido] RPly, For decades it has been taught that a samurai’s blade is not a weapon but an extension of themselves. That it is the samurai’s soul incarnate. And as such even in situations that would ordinarily come out as a draw the samurai is somehow able to push themselves that extra bit and snatch victory from even the most worthy of opponents. PvP: When Rolls are tied and requires "Re-Rolls", User automatically Wins.
[Mind Made for War] - Student RPly, A samurai is trained in the art of war and combat from the time they are old enough to hold a bouken. They have been taught to practice constant vigilance, that many times an enemy will give off nervous ticks or the like that will show they are preparing to attack. Through hard work and countless battles it has become obvious that sometimes the best way to gather victory is by getting in the first swing. PvP: Add 1/10th User's Lvl to Initiative Checks
Bushi abilities (unlocked at level 25)
Spoiler:
Art of the Draw (replaces One Blade, Two Hands) The art of iaijutsu is a prestigious art relying on speed and skill more than brute force. To draw one's blade and strike in the same motion is a skill most samurai are trained in but a rare few can exceed at. Indeed, masters of iaijutsu are capable of ending a fight in the first few moments, and when two meet, it is said that neither will reach for their blades for hours as they evaluate each other's stances. PvP: At the start of a fight, Hohiro can (regardless of initiative order) make a basic melee attack against the closest enemy to him. In addition, Hohiro can take an attack action to "focus." Focusing passes Hohiro's turn but makes his next kenjutsu attack roll deal +3 damage (does not stack with itself).
Sever Chakra (replaces Daisho Mastery) A samurai's ki is very similar to the chakra used to produce ninjutsu. Hohiro has learned this through many instances of studying his hated foes, and after much work he has learned how to use his ki to disrupt jutsu. Focusing his unstable hate-charged ki into his blade allows him to cut though what would otherwise be untouchable. As a side effect, it produces unnatural fear that overwhelms weaker enemies. PvP: By paying half the chakra cost of a ninjutsu used on him, Hohiro can attempt to destroy it by rolling his DEX as an attack roll. If he succeeds, the jutsu is negated and the user must succeed a highest mental stat roll (as defending against a genjutsu) with a DC equal to Hohiro's negation roll. If they fail, they recieve a penalty based on the rank of the jutsu negated. Hohiro can attempt to disrupt jutsu that are already present with a kenjutsu attack. He must declare his attack before rolling and pay 5 Ki per effect removed when he hits. Valid targets are any "buff" jutsu (that apply a bonus for a duration) and any ability that requires CP maintainence. Buff jutsu end prematurely and other abilities may not be re-activated for one round.

Spoiler:
Merciless Killer (replaces Deadly Edge) Hohiro's hatred is so intense he has learned to weaponize it without his blade. The hate in his heart is as sharp as steel and faster to grow and lash out. By embracing it and focusing his Ki, Hohiro can slash enemies apart as if he was using his katana, but faster, and no armor can defend against an attack made from pure, unbridled rage. PvP: By paying 5 Ki, Hohiro can make melee attacks as if they were ranged and he were using a medium weapon (i.e. a katana). This ability is compatible with Sever Chakra. 2x free B-rank kenjutsu, 1x free A-rank kenjutsu
