Event farming and Locking tokens/exp markers to a charc.

So is it possible to lock tokens/exp markers to spefic chars that earned them because some people make alternate charcs and pretty much just event hop factions to get tokens to pump into their main charcs . This way people don't have to make multiple charcs and take event slots from peoples main charcs to give to their alt charc. Else what point is there to not making multiple charcs and just poping on and into other events ? Considering the number of people that event farm tokens then pump them into their main ... It actually "is" a thing .. So ya a suggestion in such...

What also should be said about this, is that RP'ly it makes very little sense for a character that hasn't been on a mission to suddenly be some levels stronger when a completely unrelated character has been busy doing things. Focusing on a character through boredom and action is better for really developing them as more than tools to DF.

XP markers should be locked to character. RP tokens i'm less sure about since they're supposed to be a reward to the player.

Maybe should do away with XP markers altogether and DMs keep a count of who earned what then when they get to a certain level you just get hit with a level up after the event that bumped you over the line? (More organic)

On the other hand i'm thinking of an alt and i'm not sure I want her to be just someone to milk for tokens which will be her sad fate if that's what people are doing because you have to at least try to keep up?

The above is correct, XP markers being transferable in game by not having the undroppable flag, was an oversight on the development teams part, and will be corrected in the next big update, along with kymlum hakpak corrections and having that blank clothing model issue go the way of the dodo, as much as possible at this juncture.

Does this mean there will be some form of correction applied for those who spent more on a character than the character was awarded?

We never punish players for DM mess up. So no.

Nope.

We are just clarifying, making all the XP markers undroppable and untradeable, and anyone who did shift them over? We aren't going to go after our bad, not yours. It's not the players job to know our brand new system and our intentions. It's our job to teach that.

Not trying to be pushy but there's an easy and non-punishing fix that I have trouble reconciling with it's definition as a 'punishment'

If there's records accurate enough you could simply award any XP Markers earned on the boosted character to the character they took the markers from until the 'mark doner' character has the total number of marks that were issued to them.

If there's no records to use for this or they're incomplete then yes it's better to just leave it alone. I just felt it would be better to state that the options available are not 'Ban the Cheaters' or 'Do nothing' like in some sort of Bioware RPG.
