BLOODLINE HISTORY
Spoiler:
The Uchiha Clan is recognized as one of the two founding clans of Konohagakure. The story of their initial rise lies with the same general backstory as the Hyuuga - an extensive rise in repute and power during the Warring States period and an exponential increase in fame after Konohagakure’s Foundation. It is unclear as to what exactly separates an Uchiha Clan member from their peers, but many speculate that it has to do with their valuable Kekkei Genkai - the Copy Wheel Eye [Sharingan].
Unlike the Hyuuga, the Uchiha Sharingan does not always present itself within its clan members. Only roughly thirty percent of Uchiha Shinobi unlock the Sharingan, and to date there has been only a single Uchiha Clan member who has unlocked the secrets of the Mangekyou Sharingan - the father of Shodai Hokage Uchiha Hatsuma. For this reason, it is speculated that while the Uchiha have a specific Kekkei Genkai, it is believed that there is a larger genetic force at work that allows the Uchiha to perform at levels far above that of their peers. Universally, the Uchiha are considered to have a natural affinity for Fire-Based Techniques, as well they specialize in the extensive usage of tools in their combat. An Uchiha is just as likely to use their Kekkei Genkai in order to confuse or misdirect their opponent as they are to utilize their environment and natural physicality to overwhelm their enemy.
Another distinction made between the Uchiha and the Hyuuga is the Uchiha’s seemingly lax attitude towards protecting their own Kekkei Genkai. As the Sharingan does not seem to consistently manifest in Uchiha shinobi, as well as the fact that Uchiha seem to perform equally well with or without its benefits, the Uchiha do not seem to consider their Sharingan an indispensable asset.
Another popular theory in regards to the reason Uchiha do not go out of their way to take special precautions with their well-being is that Uchiha rarely, if ever, work alone. Uchiha heavily value family ties and ties with friends beyond all others, and this may actually be an indication as to what allows them to unlock or improve upon their Sharingan. These extensive emotional ties and the stress caused when these ties are severed or threatened may result in the Uchiha’s manifestation of their Sharingan, but it isn’t entirely clear as to what specific mechanisms are at work. Regardless of how it affects their Kekkei Genkai, the Uchiha normally work at least in pairs - and siblings usually train and perform extensively in the field together. This creates a natural support network in which an Uchiha is rarely, if ever alone, making any attempts to steal their eyes incredibly dangerous for any Shinobi to attempt.
The Uchiha Clan can be distinguished by their naturally dark hair, fair skin, and eyes with charcoal-colored irises - as well as their Sharingan, if active. Most Uchiha wear their clan insignia proudly on either their body or their uniforms in order to show their utter loyalty to their clan over all else. The Uchiha get along extensively well with the Hyuuga, and the two villages have been allied since the Uchiha-Hyuuga-Senju conflict. Additionally, the Uchiha get along very well with the Nara clan as a result of the marriage between Uchiha Hatsuma and Nara Kiyoa and as a result of the Nara offering their tactical expertise to the Uchiha and Hyuuga in the Sengoku period. The Uchiha have a desire to get along with all of the Clans in Konohagakure, save for the Sarutobi - who made it clear that they still held animosity towards the Uchiha as a result of the Sengoku conflict and the subsequent extermination of the Senju Clan. Uchiha, when wronged, tend to hold grudges for an unnecessarily long period of time - but also may be more trusting than others when making and cementing friendships. It is common for an Uchiha to gift one of their eyes to a close ally or friend if their death is imminent - though this is not always a followed tradition.

ABILITIES:
Rite of Blackfire:
Core Ability The Uchiha are known for their skills with Fire Style - even their Clan symbol is depicted as a fan, to 'Fan the Flames of Konoha'. Like any of her clan, Yoru spent her early shinobi years focused upon the element of fire, yet when she became one of the rarer few to obtain the Sharingan, the nature of her flames changed - blackening to pitch, evaporating the land rather than scorching it. Considered a genetic mutation related to the feared 'Amaterasu' ability, she found her manifested fire to naturally pair well with Dojutsu and Genjutsu in general, immolating victims even through mere illusions.
Base I: +D3 to Balefire Jutsu Damage. ✓ Upgrade I: +D3+1 to Balefire Jutsu Damage. Upgrade II: +D3+2 to Balefire Jutsu Damage. Note: All Uchiha must have Fire as their first element.
Rite of Combat:
Core Ability The Uchiha are infamous for their exceptionally talented and battle-orientated shinobi. Many train deeply into the arts of hand-to-hand, weaponry and tools to compliment their ninjutsu arts.
Base I: +0 to Genjutsu rolls. ✓ Upgrade I: +1 to Genjutsu rolls. ✓ Upgrade II: +2 to Genjutsu rolls.
Sharingan:
The Dojutsu of the Uchiha clan, said to be a cousin of the Byakugan and the Tochogan. The Sharingan appears selectively upon members of the Uchiha Clan, first manifesting as in a one tomoe form and eventually reaching its peak at three tomoe - for most, at least. Its abilities are diverse, but can be classified as two main trees of abilities - the Eye of Insight and Eye of Hypnotism.
With Yoru's awakening to the Sharingan, she found her own talents heavily leaning to the latter, to the point its manifestation imparted upon her an intuitive understanding of Genjutsu and the spiritual world in general, giving her direct access to the Yin Nature.
Base I: Gain access to Dojutsu and Yin Elements. Gain 1xE Rank Dojutsu, 1x E Rank Yin Jutsu. ✓ Dojutsu Specialities: Negatives/Bonus to Rolls. Yin Specialities: HP DR/Stealth. Note: Using Dojutsu will activate the Sharingan. Note: While Sharingan is active, the user is able to lip read perfectly as far as they can visually detect.
Balefire:
If it were two things the Uchiha Clan were known for, it was their mastery over fire and their crimson eyes. Pairing the two together with a mastery of the spiritual world allowed even simple lights to rend, scorch and misdirect. The Will-o-Wisp, St Elmo's Fire, Foxfire. While there many different names for this occurrence, at the heart of it was a malevolent, illusionary flame that could cause even the wisest to walk willingly to their death. The Eye of Hypnotism could take many forms, not all as easy as decipher as the next.
Upgrade I: Gain Balefire element. Gain x1 E-Rank, 1xD-Rank and 1xC-Rank Balefire Jutsu. ✓ Note: Comprised of Fire/Yin/Dojutsu Elements. Note: Balefire Specialties: HP Damage, DoT and Duration. Note: Using Balefire Jutsu will activate the Sharingan.
Enduring Phantasms:
Possessing an unusually strong 'Eye of Hypnotism', Yoru found that merely unlocking her Sharingan turned her Genjutsu into something to be feared, allowing her to weave persisting illusions that turned the battlefield into her very own stage. This talent was tied intimately to the power of her Kekkei Genkai - the more those crimson eyes were pushed, the more terrifying and lifelike those illusions became.
Base I: +0 to Genjutsu Durations. Upgrade I: +1 to Genjutsu Durations. Upgrade II: +D2 to Genjutsu Durations. Note: Base represents a single Sharingan tomoe, Upgrade I 2 tomoe, Upgrade II 3 tomoe and Upgrade III, if it would ever be reached, is Mangekyo Sharingan. All tomoe upgrades require valid RP reasons to occur, so this slot is locked according to character progression.
Eye of Hypnotism:
The user of the Sharingan can seem as if they're able to see the future, their mimicry of their opponent's thoughts and intentions allowing them to anticipate in kind. Able to complete plans before their target has even finished deciding on their course of action, those of the Uchiha can weave Jutsu together in tandem with greater strategy than one might initially assume.
Base I: May perform an E Rank Jutsu as a Free Action. 2 Round Cooldown. ✓ Note: Using this ability will activate the Sharingan.
Curse of Hatred:
An Uchiha first manifests their Sharingan when they undergo a powerful emotional condition, with the brain releasing a special form of chakra to effect the optic nerves, awakening their Kekkei Genkai. With Yoru's delving into the psyche and emotional states of herself and others, she found herself able to tap into this special chakra at will, able to draw on the natural chakra her body produced as well as that directly from the mind itself; the two sources able to work together to give the young Uchiha unnatural longevity, even if it required tapping into difficult emotions to maintain.
Base I: Gain a Secondary CP pool. Starts at 3 CP and maxes out at 10 CP. Regenerates at 1 CP per round. ✓ Upgrade I: Pool upgrades to starting at 5 and maxing at 12 CP. Regenerates at 1 CP per round. Upgrade II: Pool upgrades to starting at 8 and maxing at 15 CP. Regenerates at 1d2 CP per round. Note: User does not receive Half Level Bonus to CP.
Medical Shinobi:
As one learns how to best break the body and mind, one also learns how to repair it, too. While Yoru would never describe herself as a medical shinobi, pulling together a body from the brink of collapse is not a skill to be looked down upon - as well as the possibility to use the normally delicate green chakra of healing in a more offensive and debilitating manner.
Base I: Gain access to Medical Discipline.
JUTSU:
Non-Elemental Jutsu:
Bandage A very small amount of chakra used to staunch light wounds and bleeding Type/Rank: E-rank Medical (WIS) Cost: 1 CP Effects: Single Target. Deals Base Damage + 1 as HP Healing.
Leaf Burial This technique fools the target into thinking they are being smothered by leaves, the more they struggle the more leaves appear. Type/Rank: E-rank Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 1 CP Effects: Single Target. Deals Base Rank Damage.
Fire:
Yin:
Shadow Play This Genjutsu is unusual in that it doesn't target a single individual's chakra flow. Instead, it affects the radius around the user for a prolonged time, causing any who wander nearby to perceive the Genjutsuist as a mass of incorporeal shadow while they slip out of harm's way. Type/Rank: E-rank Yin Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 1 CP Effects: Defensive Action. Notes: Can be used twice before the effect fades. Lasts 1 round.
Crawling Abyss This Genjutsu's speciality lies in countering those who attack in melee range by causing them to see vivid images of clawed dark hands reach out, grabbing hold of their fists, leg or weapon in a cold, spidery grasp. Even if the victim has the mental fortitude to press their attack past the illusions, the sensation of the icy fingers holding onto their choice of weapon is a convincing one indeed, slowing their attack just enough for the user to blunt the force of their blow. Type/Rank: E-rank Yin Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 1 CP Effects: Defensive Action. Gain D2 DR (Kenjutsu/Taijutsu) for 1 Round.
Dojutsu:
False Reality With a flash of the crimson Sharingan gaze, the Uchiha blinds the battlefield - but not in a traditional way. The senses of those affected perceive the user as standing on a spot of their choosing for several moments, allowing them to make their escape without interruption. Type/Rank: E-rank Dojutsu Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 1 CP Effects: User attempts to escape combat using Genjutsu stat at a +1 Fleeing bonus.
Suggestion Through eye contact, a wielder of the sharingan can suggest thoughts and actions to a target, coercing them to divulge information or act in a particular way, potentially without the target's awareness. Type/Rank: E-Rank Dojutsu Cost: 2 CP Effects: None, Out of Combat Only Out of Combat Effects: User is able to Coerce an NPC to spill information or act a certain manner by staring them in the eye, This does not work if the target is already aware of ill intent and only works with DM Permission and on NPC's that are of the weak willed persuasion. On even-playing fields, the suggestion seems stronger, assisting in pulling thoughts to another side, but not complete persuasion. Note: Out of Combat
Balefire:
Twin Wisps The user conjures up the images of two hazy, floating orbs of dark fire, with the first attacking immediately. While mere illusions, the heat they appear to produce feels as realistic as scalding flames to the weak-willed, causing the victim's own body to boil themselves. Type/Rank: E-rank Balefire Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 1 CP Effects: Single Target Attack. Deals Rank Damage-D2. Notes: Can be used again as next round's action at no cost.
Heavy Spirit Much the opposite of its cousin Jutsu, Twin Wisps, this Genjutsu molds the chakra together into one large wisp of dark flame, floating above the ground. The fire looked both slow and easy to outmaneuver, but of course, when it came to illusions, appearances were deceptive. Its burning touch seemed to sap the vitality straight from the victim, causing their muscles to ache in protest. Type/Rank: E-rank Balefire Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 1 CP Effects: Single Target Attack. Deals Rank Damage and inflicts Target with a -D2 damage penalty (Kenjutsu/Taijutsu) for 1 Round.
Dance of the Fireflies Bright fireflies surround the target in elegant patterns and shapes. They could be considered a beautiful sight if it wasn't for the overload they exerted upon the victim's cortex, damaging the nervous system the more they lingered. Type/Rank: D-rank Balefire Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 2 CP Effects: Single Target Attack. Deals Rank Damage/2 per round for D4+1 rounds.
Funeral Pyre A single, large ball of eerily bright flame is conjured to the mind's eye, being launched in a rising pillar of darkening heat that shocks the senses in a wave of intense illusionary heat. Type/Rank: C-rank Balefire Genjutsu (INT) Cost: 4 CP Effects: Single Target Attack. Deals Rank Damage + D4.
