Darkness, a numbing sensation begins to take hold as time begins to cease - and everything all of a sudden becomes so much more beautiful than we would normally have been perceived before it fades into shrouded shadowy veil. Looking around you sense an intense weight pulling you deeper into the darkness, the solitude of loneliness too much to undertake - until a sudden reaction takes hold, you want this to end but it wont. Within the ocean that is the Abyss, you feel broken and hope seems lost until a fortunate memory would come to mind... that of an event you shared with another, someone close - near and dear to you. You open your eyes but they are nowhere to be found... you close your eyes and concentrate on that memory once more, as it brings a sense of calm - a warmth that seems so foreign yet natural at the same time. Drifting in this darkness more memories begin to flow more rapidly, faces, places, experiences all difficult to recollect where they came from but you feel they are familiar somehow... The visions begin to be too much, burdening your mind to the point that even with your eyes open they continue to flood ones consciousness. Sanity wanes and when it would become all too much a face appears before you of someone that fills your heart with a great joy and light, the touch although but an illusion feels more real than anything you have felt up to this point... Subconciously a word escapes your lips, no... more than a word - a name:
"... Yuudai-kun?"
You are unsure of what you just said, or if infact this serene face floating in the void and coated in a radiant aura is identified as Yuudai. But a response would murmur from his lips all the same, very soft - near a whisper under his breathe.
" Sedi-chan... "
Although numb within the darkness, a water droplet would fall and roll along this Yuudai's face. Unsure where it came from, a rekindled feeling of joy and sorrow fills your heart as he still slumbers. You slowly raise your hand and place it over his, and ask once more:
" Is your name... Yuudai? "
No response is heard, while he rests in a pacified state of mind. Turning away in doubt you cannot help but wonder if this is all an illusion or in fact real - what is real? Is it something that you can see or touch, or is it more deeper than just feeling something physically - does it exist imbedded in the heart or spirit? Why is this person with her, and why does he spark many feelings she thought she didnt have...? So many questions, too many to answer until a silhouette of an individual wrapped in a loose grey robe appears at a distance. His head is turned to the side, but you can feel he is looking directly at you with a soft smile escaping his lips. You call out to him:
" Who are you? "
Only to be responded with a brief silence as he begins to turn away and continues towards the abyss. A feeling inside of you is telling you to go and follow this man, but also don't want to leave Yuudai alone. You lean into his ear and murmur softly, before placing his hand over his chest and offer a gentle squeeze:
" I will be right back.. Wait for me, Ok? "
Still no response from Yuudai, and despite not wanting to leave his side - you know this robed man holds some answers as to where they are or why they are here, better... who they are. You give chase, and cast a second glance over your shoulder at Yuudai until his illuminating figure would appear to be distancing itself from you, and shortly after it would too would be swallowed up in the darkness. Looking ahead for this man, there would be no sign of him - nothing but darkness and the sudden chill of lonliness from before begins to build up. You call out in a panic, worried that you may have once again lost yourself...
" Where did you go? Hello?! - Can you hear me?! Is anyone out there?! ... Yuudai?!"
You second guess yourself, and begin to make your way back to Yuudai - but everything looks the same, it is difficult to discern if the direction you are going is leading indeed back to the radiant glowing form named Yuudai. You continue to call his name, hoping to get a response or in the least see his light. Then, you realized you have indeed lost yourself once more in this world and possibly alone forever. A deep regret fills your heart wanting to have never left Yuudai's side. You collapse to your knees, with a sudden burden placed on you as if the air around you becomes very thin and difficult to breathe as if you are being suffocated by this darkness. An indescribable heart-ache takes hold, as you reach for your chest. In frustration you roar into the darkness, faulting yourself and this grey robed man for putting you in this position:
" WHY DID YOU TAKE ME AWAY FROM HIM?! "
Suddenly, a hand is felt resting on your shoulder - and all the overburdened weight of stress lifted. The Grey robed man standing directly behind you as a somber voice is heard coming from him, very soothing - and compassionate. Like that of a big brother or father.
" Sedina... why are you yelling? "
You flinch and crawl on the floor away from him, wondering what sort of game he is playing at. Taking a moment to identify him, he cannot help but still smile down at you for some unknown reason. You hesitantly ask, afraid he will just run away again.
" You know... who I am? "
The man would offer a brief nod and then take afirst couple of steps heading back into the void, you quickly call out to him so as to not lose him. Briskly you rise and rush over to him:
" Wait! - ... "
Before dashing to him, the grey robed man would have stopped already with his hand extended out to you. In a single word, he would offer you comfort in knowing you aren't alone anymore:
" Come. "
You hesitantly would reach your hand out towards the man, uncertain who he may be or what sense of calm he has offered you but the moment you slip your hand over his - you are reassured. The grey robed figure would then walk with you hand in hand, guiding you deeper into the depths of this great void. You cannot help but glance up at him curious of his identity as the cowl seems to droop just beyond his nose and covering much of the upper portion of the face, even if his face was shown - would you have known who he was?
[Part 1 - Mithrajin's Story]
" Where are we going...? "
You ask softly while traversing down an unseen path, that this guide beside you is the only one capable of knowing where their destination is set. He would begin to open his mouth but pauses a moment - and over thinks what he is about to say to you:
" ... You will know soon. "
Disatisfied with the answer, you continue to question him mainly wondering who he is and who you might be:
" Who are you? How do you know me? "
Silence would fall the pair of you once more, as he doesnt seem all too talkative... the journey seems to have taken a few days - maybe weeks, or months, the silence between you and your guide seems to have lasted for eternity... but what is time in a place like this?
" We are here..."
States the grey robed figure, alerting you of something - as you look around for signs of where "here" is you find a towering light that seems to reach to infinity. You look between the man and this line of light, before he gently tugs you towards this light once more.
" Where is h- ... hey! I want to know what is going on, where are we? And who exactly are YOU?! "
He would sigh softly seeing how eager and anxious as you seek answers. He would turn to face you and gently outstretch his hand towards the path, as if inviting you to continue:
" In there, will you find what you seek. I am... a friend. Trust is not an easy thing to have towards someone, but you trusted me before - do so again. "
You furrow your brows a moment looking at him questioningly, as he continues to play this mysterious role which is only agitating you finding it to be more annoying than before. Given up arguing you approach this beam of light that seems like a spot light and stand a few inches in front of it. Unsure what it would do, something in you is telling you to be careful - possibly worry of what it is that you may uncover... The grey robed figure would step into the light first with a stride in his step, showing that there is nothing to fear. Once he stands in the center he would outstretch his hand again towards you, as that reassuring feeling subtly flows over you once more.
" Hmmm... "
You take a deep breathe and nod softly to yourself, rediscovering your inner strength before walking in and taking his hand. Suddenly a platform beneathe the both of you lights up with a tribal design of an angel ingraved and lit in a celestial cyan hue. This platform then jerks, causing you to stumble forward but the man would have served as a support for you, and soon enough realizing that you are being elivated upwards along this silver beam of light. As you are mesmorized by the twinkling of stars so high up, there are faces within each spec of light. The grey robed man would close his eyes, knowing that this journey would take a while as he awaits their destination patiently.
" Who are those faces? Are those others like us? "
You ask curiously, as you stand by the edge of the platform, looking closely at the twinkling of the stars. The grey robed figure, would remain solemnly stoic as his soothing voice would fill the air.
" They are friends of yours, but they arent like us - at least not yet.
I suppose though, it is worth to talk a while as we make our way "there".... "
You turn back to the grey robed figure, looking at him curiously unsure what he means by "there". You figure it is the place where all your answers will be uncovered. Relieved that he wont be so silent and keeping things so bottled up, you walk up to him eager to start a conversation as it is your nature to open up to people and have them open up towards you as well.
" Finally~! ... Alright well, ummm... so what is your na- "
" In the beginning, did you feel a cold darkness taking hold of you ... a great numbing of your senses as you are being taken hold by this force... time would cease to exist - and then a light? "
" Well... yea, that is practically the only thing I remember. And this is you leading me to the light right? "
He would nod softly towards you, as he begins to make his way towards the edge of the platform as well with the stars twinkling in the far reaches of the abyss. His sleeves are very elegant and long, as he holds his hands behind him while in deep thought. You take note that something seems to be on his mind, as you approach him wanting to show you are willing to be a sympathetic ear - he seems to have taken note and continues on:
" When I was little, I had a destiny set before me. The oldest of a pair, I had a sister - who was much like yourself but... can be alittle difficult to talk to at times. " * A soft chuckle escapes his lips, he cannot help but smile as he is caught reminicsing * " She was the world to me, and the only real family we had left was each other since my parent's assassination. We were very young, too young to deserve such a past... but we were also saved - saved from a path that may have detered us from this "destiny", by a kind woman and a noble warrior... "
The star lights would begin to twinkle in unison as if creating images of certain faces that he is referring too, some of them moving about to show an animation of these individuals important in his life.
" In my heart, was a darkness that never faded but in certain instances did surface for a moment or two. I think... it was born ever since my sister's near death experience since taking up my clan's "Mark".
It was a barbaric practice, that the elders deemed necessary to ensure our clans prosperity and security... many innocent children died - I was 5 at the time when I first saw the failing result of such a practice. And ever since then I would continue to see young innocent faces, succumb to death... It was a heavy guilt - to know you are partially held accountable for this slaughter of your own kin. But, this was a needed "sacrifice"...
I didnt know of the word, neither did I wish to experience the sting of loss - but upon the age of 10, it was time for myself and my twin sister to inherit our own "mark". I barely survived the procedure, but I think it was Seohyun that saved me because I was thinking of her the entire time... I didnt know though that it was she that was suffering the most, and stood inches away from death. She was left hospitalized and myself - alone again..."
The stars would twinkle a blood red hue, signaling blood or anger or possibly malice. You look at the grey robed figure as he continues to tell his story, wanting to share some sort of comforting words but such a pain of losing a sibling is something not even you can fathom.
" I was left with the duty and responsibility to manage a clan, a mere child had no place to take such a heavy burden. Everytime I grew alone or vengeful, I felt something kindle inside of me... and washed away this darkness - I think... it was her. Despite being hospitalized, Seohyun was always with me - even much later in life she was always the single force that pulled me back into the light and come to reason. "
" What... happened to her? "
" After many endless nights of prayers, they were eventually answered - and like in the fairytales, the princess awoke from her slumber. "
The grey man would turn towards you a moment, taking note of how reassured you feel over the fact that it seemed to end well - or did it?
" She grew into a beautiful lilly, whose kindness and influence touched many lives - including yours. I believe, she found you in the desert alone and unconcious... After taking you back to Sunagakure and tended to you in the hospital, she helped you until you were much better - and even named you Sedina. Ever since then you two were near inseperable, I myself took note that you two had a strong bond... like sisters. We took you in with us, as a part of the clan and the village of Sunagakure - until word was sent from Kumogakure that it was possibly there that you originated from.
Despite saying your goodbyes with myself and Seohyun, you never really left - because you were always welcome back home with people that cared for you. I think that Seohyun has also had a strong influence over your growth too, not the kind of influence I would normally appreciate from my dear little sister... but it was out of love and appreciation for you. "
You look distant a moment, peering out into the star lit darkness of space. A single star twinkling much brighter than the others with the face of a beautiful woman with white hair that you imagine is "Seohyun". With your hand gently placed over the reflective surface, you cannot help but smile looking at her as she seems to be cradling a young baby in her arms.
" You see her dont you? "
" Yes... she is so beautiful... and a mother? "
He would glance at you and then at the very luminescent star, nodding softly to himself as he too smiles with pride.
" She is, with two children. That one there is the new born... Kennin, and the oldest is Aurora - named after the woman that had raised us as her own children. You met her before, but only as a baby - she has grown up quite abit since then.
I too was always hoping to have children of my own. Alas, it wasnt meant to be... "
" Something happened to you ? "
" Something happened to another. I was in love once, with many other infatuations along the way... "
You cannot help but blush as the grey robed man seems quite open about his love life and not in the least bit shy about it. Still you are unaware of his sexual preference until...
" One of the many infatuations, was an important man in my life that also had a big role in raising me. Aky'kyo Alakir - my sensei. "
" You are - I mean... oh... OH~! "
It comes to you but apparently not all to subtly, as you simply nod with a bright smile eager to hear more about this stranger's love life.
" He meant alot to me, he was renown as a very famous puppet master in Sunagakure - and feared by many for his skills... but all this is thanks to his own sensei, a man whose discipline overcomes his humanity... Perhaps it was inevitable that my sensei also fell to the teachings of his former sensei, but I too am not innocent for the sins that I have committed either.
He taught me much of unity, working with one another to create a better village and possibly a better world. He was and possibly still is a good man, but the bond of master and apprentice could not be broken through a romance - we both respected that bond for what it was. My heart was instead given to a Shinobi in Konoha, a rivaling village, and his name was Shinji. "
He pauses a moment and takes a deep breathe, the loss of Shinji seemed very hard for him to take in - even now to accept.
" What... was he like? "
" Shinji was a... "unique" individual in his own right. But also very caring to his students, often talking about them as much as I adored my own - although he and I would never so openly admit it to them. He loved them as if they were his own children, Hideaki Aburame, Takeshi Hyuuga, and Tsume Inuzuka.
I met them on more than one occassion and they were good people, unfortunately Takeshi - like his sensei succumbed to death in later years. Murdered by another in Kirigakure. I never got to find out who, and felt overburdened with guilt having promised Shinji that I would have looked after his students before he passed on. What happened to Hideaki and Tsume is unknown, but my guess is they are still in Konoha.
My dislike for Kirigakure and their customs existed for many years prior to Takeshi's death, they were Suna's natural born enemies... they have sworn to destroy our walls - and we have sworn that they would fall if they dared to try. The animosity between the two villages never left even in times of peace, but eventually the shadows of war loomed over the horizon and Kirigakure made the first move - once again. "
Within the starry lit sky, several stars twinkle and dim - signaling the lives lost because of the war that continued for several years. The image of Takeshi in one of the glimmering stars, would cause you heart-ache. You feel you had some sort of close tie with him as well, possibly on a level more than just friendship.
" They struck Konoha first, and then caused Iwa to join in the war - my village was allied with Konoha so we had to honor the pact. This war waged for many years, and nearly led to the destruction of Konoha and Suna. But despite however close victory may have seemed on their side - Fate was on our side, and gave us the means to overcome the immense forces we were pitted against. None of us could have guessed, that they already had people working on the inside... a man both respected and feared for his skills - a man thought to be a hero of Suna, but appearances can be deceiving... in actuality he sought to be Suna's executioner. "

Day 1)_____ Starting off school one can find it very difficult to get settled and adjusted, due to being alittle different from everyone else. But it does really help to have friends and family around to help make the transition from a child to the makings of a Shinobi... It is something my brothers and I have been trained by our parents, it is what all the endless hours of studying have been for. Momma, is always teaching us that studies will make us more successful in life - but it is also to value the arts that makes our lives enriched too. I think love may have something to do with it, and I am not short of that! Which... I am really blessed to say.
Hiro, my trouble maker and very funny - twin brother has been preparing to become one of the best Shinobi ever. He often tells me how he dreams of surpassing Father, who is a legend here in Sunagakure - and also the Kazekage. Kyo-kun is the youngest of the family but also the brightest, Momma, Poppa, and the tutors all call him a prodigy in the making - someone whose presense makes my parent's smile. I may not see it, but the warmth of their voice I can tell. My other brothers are much older than the three of us, their names are Cervantes and Balthazar. I dont know really all that much about them because they are always sent away on missions for Father and the village - but when we do get a family get together it is usually a never dull moment. Cervantes and Hiro often compete, but Cervantes-kun is mainly interested in chasing and breaking hearts. Balthazar is the more serious and disciplined sort, I imagine he is very handsome too cause Aurora often wants to play doctor with him.
Oh! I really cannot forget my friends who are like family too! There is of course the bestest "bestie" a girl can ask for - Aurora Inka-Shimura. She is a real life princess, much like her mommy - and a real blast to hang around. We have been raised together pretty much since birth, and we have this really close bond that ... I cant really describe but its practically like the one I have with Hiro, I suppose that does make us Sisters, heheh. She is though by far the most talented girl I have seen, and there isnt anything more that she loves its dance - Well there is of course boys too which we talk often about, but here's hoping my brothers or parents never read this part. Ahem, Anyway~ She has this very smart younger brother too - his name is Kennin and I know he is besties with Kyo-kun and a new member to their family a boy named Shinobu. The three of them train quite often, and are very close as well - I can tell they will be important people in the future. Its a feeling but a really good one!
Things may never have been easy growing up, but filled with alot of love and support like these guys how can a girl be sad all the time, ya know? There are at times though that yea, I do feel sad - like I feel I dont necessarily belong, and want to know why I was born the way I was and not normal like other people... but Momma says, its because maybe I am supposed to help and be role-models for others like me! I felt really happy hearing that, and dare I say - taken by the comment, cause I am abit of a clutz! There is this other boy though, one I met on a trip to Konohagakure - he seemed alone and kinda sad deep down like me. But he told me, being different isnt a bad thing either and was like - one of if not the first ever friend I made that wasnt related to me. His name was Seto, and I hope I get to meet him again.
I gotta get going, the nanny is making her rounds to make sure we are in bed. Truth be honest though, I am having difficulty falling asleep. My dreams are getting worst and worst and I am really afraid it may affect my school work. I dont know what to do, but think its best not to concern anyone with it. They may fade in time. Day 2)_____ Dear Codex,
Today became something pretty eventful, I was both really surprised and happy to find a familiar face walking in Suna's walls. It started off with Poppa's chefs whipping up one of Hiro and my favorite breakfast dishes - Pancakes! They even offered one of almost every kind imaginable, from banana - to chocolate chip - to one with any sort of berries imaginable! It was a definite treat, and just what we needed before we headed off to school.
On the way there, I noticed there some kids - bullying a new comer to the school for their lunch money. At first I didn't know what to do, but I did know it had to be something or someone was going to get hurt. There is nothing else I could do but offer to toss my own lunch money at the gang that have begun tossing the other boy around. With the ryo scattered on the ground, I tried to take his hand and make away to the safety of the Academy walls - but they were too fast and we were eventually led into an enclosed alley. I have to say the thought of getting pummeled scared me very much, I can also feel the fear in the boy as he squeezed my hand. I tried to offer him comfort - but he could not understand what I was doing with my hands.
Feeling the pursuers cast their shadows over us, the boy and I huddled together while I tried to blanket him - thinking because I am a girl they would be a little easy on the both of us. Something then happened to them, the bullies were chased off and left crying... the boy crouched under me said a scary shadow appeared over us that frightened them off. I was unsure what he meant by it until I heard gentle flapping in the cooling breeze. A clothes-line was overhead with its shadow cast to make it seem like a shadowy figure. Kyo-kun, my youngest brother, then found us in the alley and offered to help us get back to school despite being a little late. I don't know why but... I feel as if Kyo had something to do with chasing off the bullies.
After school I stayed after in the study hall, and help the librarian put the books away. But I already had plans of visiting my bestie, Aurora-chan. I try to see her almost every day or as much as possible - she always seems to have a gathering of some sort at her home, and it is no surprise because she is a very popular girl in school - and her parents are just as popular in the shinobi world. Hiro-kun came by study hall, complaining about how we have too many books... He is a funny individual, but I wouldn't have anything about him change.
When we arrived at Aurora-chan's family compound, I was surprised to see there was already a large gathering. And there I had got to meet a familiar face! Seto Uchiha Shikyo has stopped by Sunagakure, as he and his classmates may possibly be staying here for a couple of days before heading back to Kumo. It has only been a year almost, but I knew nothing has really changed about him - he was still the kind boy I met back in Konoha. There I also got to meet Aurora-chan's husband Rei-san, or rather... ex-husband. It is unfortunate but he had admitted to cheating on Aurora, which had caused my bestie a great deal of heartache. I dont know how she does it, but she seemed to have recovered rather swiftly but I figured she may want to use one of Poppa's laxative concoctions, which she did.
And then, it happened... Kishi-chan of the "Luka & Kishi" duo was in the Inka compound! I couldnt believe my ears, but I heard her voice at a distance conversing with someone and I just -had- to get her autograph. She was a really nice individual to offer it to me, I just didnt have much time to talk to her unfortunately as she had to leave shortly after. But I do have the autograph and cannot wait to show it to Aurora ^_^
Today was filled with alot of excitement, and there is no telling what tomorrow will bring. Take care, and until we meet again~!
Day 3)_____ Hello Codex~
Another day and new experiences to be shared - however I dont feel that most of them are exactly pleasant... Well, it started off pretty good. After waking up, Hiro and I be brushing our teeth together and I asked him what he thought about Seto, the Uchiha friend I made in Konoha some time ago. My brother didnt seem all that enthused to meet him, but I think its only because the two havent gotten to know each other. After we got dressed and went down to join the family for breakfast, I noticed Poppa was missing - apparently he had a super duper important meeting in Kumogakure. Momma let us know that he would be back within a couple of days which is surprising because, it normally takes weeks to get to Kumogakure right? Poppa is full of surprises that way, heheheh.
While we were eating, Momma was informed of the fact I was late to class - and made Kyo-kun late too yesterday... She asked what the reason behind it was because I left several minutes earlier to ensure I would be on time. Momma and I have a really close bond, which is why telling her something like " I got lost " wouldnt suffice - it is a sign of distrust in what our relationship is. Kyo-kun reassured me by talking in my head, that it would be alright if I told her. I decided I had too, because family doesnt keep any secrets from each other.
After telling Momma about yesterday morning's incident, it seemed to have riled up Hiro wanting to beat up the bullies who tried to pick on me and the new boy in school. Kyo reassured that they weren't much of an issue, since they were afraid of their own shadow - but Momma didn't want to take the chance and asked for one of the house attendants to escort us to school. When we got there, I noticed the boy was missing and the bullies were no where to be heard. I figured, it would be an ok day... but it did get better when I was in the same class with Aurora, we were studying hand seals and learning abit about the fundamentals of chakra. I was hoping we could do some exercises but we didn't get a chance to that day, in either case I made sure to help Aurora take notes as we were also passing notes along to each other from time to time. I could sense some of the animosity towards us, partially because Aurora says we are the pretty girls in school while the others were kind of jealous because of that. Aurora though is more than just pretty, she is really sincere, caring, and smart - with a talent for fashion and the arts, especially dancing. Aunty Seo said that Aurora practically learned to Dance before she started walking, which I always found adorable.
After school I decided to stay after and help at the study hall in tutoring a few classmates, Aurora and the others already left to her family's compound and I told them I would meet them there once I was done. Helping my classmates understand the fundamentals of handsealing, and how chakra was formed did give me a sense of pride - as if I was really making a difference in helping them. The Librarian asked if I wished to become a tutor for the school, I did shy away from the thought but... it was a big responsibility and one I would have happily taken on.
Arriving at the Inka Compound an hour later, I would have already heard a large gathering - and the air around them did seem intense... it would appear that Seto-kun was the center of it all. I walked up to greet everyone, and overheard my brother say I should not come into contact with Seto because of his cootie - AIDS. I wasnt sure exactly what he meant by it, but Hiro-kun said all Uchiha and Hojo have it, its what Aunty Seohyun said. Seto did not like such accusations in the least, and they visibly had an issue with him simply being an Uchiha. I inquiried why Aunty Seohyun would say something like that, when Ms. Lirin and others stated it was do to her previous relationship with an Uchiha.
Such gossip of former love-tales, especially when it comes to Aunty Seohyun immediately peeked my interest. They said that she had a former love, prior to marrying Uncle Kenshin - and his name was Saoren Uchiha. Apparently a very bad man, who has stained the name of Uchiha on more than one occassion - but I have heard of his name before by Poppa and his attendants. He is infact the Raikage? How can a kage be bad, and it is then when Seto voiced out that Sao-sama was making ammends and proving his worth as a kage. It showed Seto's devotion to his clansmen, and then someone else mentioned that Uncle Kenshin too, married a Uchiha prior to Aunty Seohyun. So how can the Uchiha be all that bad? I figured it may be alittle bit of hurt that Aunty Seohyun still feels over Sao, after moving on to a sage named Jubei, and then somehow taken over by Sao again, until lastly she found true love with Kenshin. It was a very confusing love triangle, but it is one of those stories that should be made into a novel.
Seto-kun however continued to reject the idea he has or ever did have cootie-AIDs. Dragon-sama stood up for his student and ensured me of such as well. I was confused of the situation, but asked if there was any cure for it to Ms. Lirin. She said that Seto most likely doesnt either, which did relieve me - but the others continued to slander him which was upsetting. Because these people were my family... and Seto is a new friend of mine I would like to keep. I was up to my boiling point before I could not take anymore, so I kissed his forehead - or tried to but ended up kissing his hair to show I didnt care if he had it or not. Neither did I care if any of them were to have cootie-AIDs too. Because I like them for who they are, and hoped if given the chance they would like Seto as well. My brother, Hiro-kun, and Seto tried to work things out in a spar, I didnt like it much but had to leave alittle afterwards. Seto did lose, and Hiro was sent to the hospital but he recovered swiftly there after.
When I did come back after picking up my books in school, I took Seto, Dragon-sama, and Pheonix-sama with me to play at my house. On the way there, it seemed there was tension between Dragon-sama and Pheonix-sama too... I wasnt sure of what kind but when I tried to bring them together they seemed to repel each other. It was disheartening...
We stopped by the study, figuring that it would be a nice big place for us to play. I offered to give Seto one of my favorite books too, because I know it must have been difficult for him to adjust - it was my favorite story that Poppa would always read to me, Sleeping Beauty. I offered to teach Seto braille, because most of the books in the study have braille as well to help me with my studies. Seto did have difficulty, but he opted to read it out loud for me, Dragon-sama, and Pheonix-sama. Hiro-kun arrived for story time as well, but I would have dozed off sometime in the middle of the story telling. Seto-kun's voice was very soothing to me, and when he read the story of "Sleeping Beauty" I just felt more at peace than I ever felt for the 2 weeks... The dreams have kept me up from time to time, the nightmares getting stronger but at that moment I felt safe.
I would eventually wake up, around dinner time to realize I was back in my room. And immediately began studying for fuinjutsu arts as it would be tomorrows lesson. Afterwards I joined my family for dinner with Hiro still alittle scraped up from the spar, and my Momma was supportive of his endeavors. Despite him liking getting mangled, I abhor the idea and wish he came to his senses about it. There is no changing Hiro, and I shouldnt try to - because for better or worst he is my twin brother and I will always be there for him.

Day 4)_____ Dear Codex~
Today was the most fun and active day I had in a very long time, I cannot wait to share with you what happened. At school today, I met up with this new boy in my fuinjutsu class he said his name was Maikeru Karaiou - and seemed very bright too. It seems we both shared a real liking in Fuinjutsu and that he wishes to practice Puppet technique in order to better himself. Later on just a few minutes before the bell would ring for the school to end, I was visited by Aunty Saori who came by to visit me. She asked the teacher if I could be excused - which the teacher surprisingly agreed to since it was a half day. Aunty Saori is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, she is very organized and is aware about most things going on in both Sunagakure and Konohagakure, in part due to being the daughter of Seohyun and Kenshin.
She has this really unique and special gift despite not being part of the Inka clan originally, she has found her own inner strength through their family and that is a sort of connection with weather patterns itself. I noticed this one time when I was 6, when all of a sudden it would have become alittle chilly - and it was rare because it is never chilly in Suna and in the middle of the day, but it seemed Saori was upset about something - possibly a lost patient at work... But the weather shifted because she was sad, there is a link between the two. Hyobe-san, who is her boyfriend and a very gifted shinobi, tended to her alot in the past 5 years. We are crossing our fingers for the day they get married, heheh.
Once outside of the academy, it was surprising to hear that Aunty Saori had planned on teaching me my first Ninjutsu! I just barely understood the fundamentals on chakra usage and how it works. but I was also really excited, since it was my very first time in tapping into my chakra. The technique she wished to teach us was "Bunshin-no-Jutsu", something I seen the upper classmen perform. It took a while but I did manage to master it, and then one of the sempais from the academy came around seeking to teach us more jutsu. We couldnt resist! Jack-san, this really tall and lively Takumi along with my brother Hiro, and this new girl, went to go and train with her. Only to be stuck in some sort of genjutsu that really scared me...
We would have used team work to try and escape the dungeon, including the jutsu that we had just previously learned... only to realize it was all an illusion! I never would have thought genjutsu was so potent, its why I am such an admirer of it. But I hope to learn more and grow stronger to be of use for Sunagakure. I gotta try and keep up with the others first, heheh. Well thats all for today, night Codex!
Day 5)_____ Dear Codex~
After an amazing day yesterday of training with my friends and family, I was really excited and felt as if I am making real progress in becoming a shinobi. The words Ms. Lirin offered me, really helped out. I felt renewed with affirmation that I had to be competent enough to help protect my family, and be more self-dependant like the great women role-models like my Momma.
Early in the afternoon as soon as I came back from school, Momma sat down with me to talk about my path as a possible shinobi. Momma asked how my training was going, overhearing my progress yesterday - most likely one of her attendants found out or Hiro-kun told. But I was really proud of myself, and so was she... however I can sense some worry in her tone. Momma expressed that being a shinobi isnt exactly for everyone. That despite how amazing it would seem to us children, it is a path led by much blood and toil. I knew the moment Hiro-kun first sparred, that fighting alone isnt what I would want to see or be apart of...
Momma continued to let me know that there are other paths one may take, whether as a healer, a politician, or maybe a philosopher like members of her clan - the great Takara. Momma is a leading member of her clan, with the Takara being brilliant minded individuals who have grown in all forms of the mind, body, and spirit. Momma reminded me I am too part of that clan through her - and that I can opt to becoming something else in time if I so chose. It was shortly revealed why Momma was feeling so concerned over my future, it is because she was afraid of my handicap possibly being the cause for myself or those around me getting hurt on missions as a shinobi.
I knew deep down, ever since I came aware of being different from everyone else that I would have a more difficult road. I was told that the challanges can be overcome, if there was anyone who could do it - that it would be me. But the fact of the matter is that no matter how hard I will try, being blind will be my most greatest weakness. If I will not be holding others back - I will only be the cause for them getting hurt or worst. Momma... was right, she always is. It hurt to know the truth, but it was such - that I had to accept it. I still dont know what my path will be but I hope that no matter what I will not be distanced from my family as they start their journey as shinobi.
After a long discussion, one of the attendants informed me that Seto came over to play, which Momma said she was ok with letting me go to have fun. Seto seemed a lot more happier today which really made me happy too. He came over to give me something, and to tell me that despite unable to play with me today he wanted me to know that he is sorry and may make it up next time. I don't see why he would have to make it up to me, but he is a very sweet boy - the kind of side that I dont know if many people know about. A Chunin instructor then came by the palace, looking for Hiro to teach him a lesson on Bunshin technique. I was happy for Hiro because it would be the last jutsus he would need in order to take the Graduation exam which would be in a couple of days I think. I was 1 jutsu short myself, which Hiro somehow new - and asked if I could come along.
The words Momma shared with me did cling to my head, and I knew that... maybe it wouldnt be the best idea. Hiro and Momma though encouraged that I go, to at least try and learn which I managed to over the great many times of falling into the water. Even skidding once to crash into a brick wall and breaking my nose... Hiro-kun though used the link we shared to take the pain for me. He is always looking out for me, and I dont want him to be stuck doing that for the rest of his life - I want him to enjoy his time as a child instead of always babysitting me. It is one of those moments that I am both agitated and thankful that he is around, because without Hiro in my life I dont know if my heart would be as fulfilled as it is now. Even with my friends around, Hiro is a part of my life that is really precious to me... I cannot be the cause of him missing out, getting hurt, or even worst.
There is alot to think things over Codex, I dont have much time with the academy graduation exam approaching... but I will try to figure out what my destiny is even if it isnt one as a shinobi.
Day 6)_____ Dear Codex~
So close... It is so close to the Academy graduation exams that everyone in school and at home is exstatic. Hiro-kun and I have just finished learning our last few techniques required to partake in the exams, while my other brother Kyo has finished learning these jutsu for weeks in advance. He doesnt seem to require much training required for the graduation exams, but we all know he is a sure win to pass the test. Aurora says that Kennin-kun is the same exact way, that he is acting very cool and calm about it while we are both getting stressed over it and cramming information as much as we could. We decided to spend the day studying at her place, and asked my Momma prior if I would be able to sleep over - which she didnt seem to mind.
Aurora and I would have spent the whole day studying and practicing ninjutsu, in the hopes of being "ready"... but can someone really be ready? Well, someone like me who is at a disadvantage that is... I had told Hiro-kun the day before about what Momma said, and that I agreed with it... because it was the truth. He was being his usual supportive self though, and said that no matter what that we would still remain close - no matter what path I chose he would support me no matter what. The talk with Momma really did open up my options, and I was really interested in talking with Aunty Seo about how she became such a legendary shinobi - despite not getting caught up in much fighting.
She told me us her beginnings as a small child, who used to be infact alot like Aurora and I by often relying on her bigger brother Mithrajin. He was Aurora's uncle that she never got to meet and died mysteriously, Seohyun often calls him a hero but refuses to really tell us much about her brother- most likely because of how much it would hurt. She continued to say that the pair were twins with a very strong bond, and destined to lead their clan to great heights - which I think they definitely did. And despite her dislike for fighting she would have a strong passion and gift in healing - the likes of which they say surpassed any in Sunagakure by a young age. Even reaching heights in her carrier as managing Sunagakure's hospital which at the time was utilizing the most advanced techniques found in all of the shinobi world. Eventually her talent and love for the village would have proved itself to becoming Kazekage one day, and acknowledged as a one of the most powerful kunoichi. All of this though, did not seem possible without her brother - and the bonds she made with everyone along the way. Even if those closest to her have passed on, she continues to remind herself the sacrifices and the will that they passed onto her - which can be the will to lead her clan, the wisdom needed to aid a village, the compassion offered to her patience, and at times the stubborn refusal to lose in the face of a challange.
Althought I couldnt see Seohyun hurting, I could feel it in my heart and in her voice so I offered to hold her with Aurora. She told us that it will soon be time for us to take part in our own adventures, and offer Sunagakure our services in everything that we do. Because even as a village, we are regarded as "family"... something that Poppa also believes in, a sense of unity.
It seems that even the strong shinobi like Aunty Seohyun also had a beginning much like us, which is really exciting to think that we will maybe reach that kind of status - or at least the others will. But even if I dont become a shinobi, I will never give up and take the lessons I learned in doing my best to serve the village and my family. Its getting pretty late, I should hit the hay. ... I dont know what just happened, I had one of the nightmares again but it felt so real. So much fighting, so much death, I tried to ask them to stop but it didnt seem they heard me let alone see me. High up on a mountainside was a man, as if standing dominant over everything he is looking on - the pile dead warriors, that even slain to the ground continued to fight so fiercely. The blood itself drenched the land, with banners from every shinobi nation in the world. And the man would just smile, with a most curious gaze - eyes that despite never seeing I knew were unique... rings of a feint purple color. I wouldnt realize it at first as I was looking at the carnage, bodies torn open and the war cries causing me intense such intense pain. It is as if I could feel their pain, their grief - and even hate... Then when I turned to look back at the man he was set before me, looking straight into my soul or what appeared like it - as if I did not belong... and then began to strangulate me with one hand. While I was kicking and trying to scream for help but no sound would escape my mouth... and slowly it would have all faded black.
When I woke up, I felt Aurora's hand firmly squeezing my hand as she whispers in concern. Drawing the attention of a few of the Inka attendants - as they said I was screaming... screaming... asking to stop. I didnt understand how it was possible, when I dont even have the capabilities to speak. Right now, Aurora is watching me fill out this journal entry, and most likely going to stay up with me until I could fall asleep while we are drinking some hot coco to calm our nerves. Why - why does this keep happening to me? Why cant I just be normal...
Day 7)_____ Dear Codex...
Today marks one of the most important days of my life, that is if I could get through the day that is. The Academy Graduation exams have arrived, all the hard work that me and my friends have gone through is about to pay off. Aunty Seo made sure Aurora, Kennin, Shinobu, and Hiyozaki each had a hearty breakfast before we headed off to the academy. It is a major deal and something I am both excited over and nervous as well. I went over the handsealing procedures in my hand, reviewed my notes on chakra and its affinities, and even double checked some brief historical questions they may ask on Sunagakure. It was alot of work and stress, but Seohyun and I did feel confident in ourselves that we would do well - although... not as well as Kennin and Kyo-kun who both would most likely ace the test.
When we entered the academy, finding the classroom apparently was in an of itself a test - but once we did find it. The classroom would have swelled rapidly with people. Luckily everyone made it, even Kyo-kun who arrived late - most likely doing some last minute reviews. The sempai seemed nice, as she offered me a type writer to fill out the answers in braille. Although... it was rather loud and I hope that I didnt make such a ruckus to distract the others.
The questions on the test seemed near impossible, things I never would have thought would be on the test - or perhaps I lacked the foresight to study... In either case, I did try my best and that is all I could have been able to do. Unfortunately, I didnt feel as if even my best would have been accepted shinobi worthy, when asked... "What is your Nindo? " I firmly believed a Nindo is something only Shinobi are permitted to have, it is their code or purpose for serving as a ninja. I wasnt worthy to have such - so I left, with Hiro-kun chasing after me...
We both talked abit in the graveyard, he tried to show that I am capable if I only kept doing what I was doing - and focused on some of my strengths to overcome my weaknesses. But Momma's words still stuck with me, because they were true as well. Hiro, despite not agreeing with me did offer his support no matter what road I may take. I could only do the same for him and the others, because I know in my heart of hearts - that they have what it takes to become great. It would be nice to see them grow into legendary shinobi that I know they will achieve.
We then decided to head back home before it got too late, and when we arrived - a mail order from the academy was sent to us. We had graduated! ... And our head bands were sent to us. It was definitely one of those moments you have to question if it was real or not, but sure enough it was! Thank you to whatever guardian angel looking after me, and I pray you will keep an eye out on not only myself but also my brothers, and other kinsmen. Onmyōdō (陰陽道?, also In'yōdō, lit. ‘The Way of Yin and Yang’) is a traditional Japanese esoteric cosmology, a mixture of natural science and occultism. It is based on the Chinese philosophies of Wu Xing and Yin and yang, introduced into Japan at the turn of the 6th century, and accepted as a practical system of divination. These practices were influenced further by Taoism, Buddhism and Shintoism, and evolved into present-day onmyōdō around the late 7th century.

Taijutsu (体術; Literally meaning "Body Techniques") is a basic form of jutsu that typically does not require chakra, but chakra may be used to enhance techniques. Taijutsu generally require no hand seals to perform and are much quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is simply put, hand-to-hand combat, or weaponry.
Although it is used by nearly all ninja, some characters use taijutsu almost exclusively like Rock Lee and his teacher Might Guy, and are experts of many taijutsu techniques. Example of taijutsu techniques are Dynamic Entry and Leaf Whirlwind. The Hyūga clan's Gentle Fist, however, makes extensive use of chakra and demands great skill in its control. The taijutsu techniques are the right choices for those that want to save their time and chakra, or for those who rely on their physical attributes. It can also be used in collaboration with ninjutsu to create nintaijutsu techniques.

Ninjutsu (忍術; Literally meaning "Ninja Techniques") refers to any technique that utilizes chakra and allows the user to perform actions that a normal person otherwise would be incapable of doing. Unlike genjutsu, which causes the opponent to experience illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are real. Ninjutsu relies on chakra and, most of the time, hand seals to be effective. The hands are put in sequential positions that molds and manipulates chakra in the necessary manner to perform a jutsu. This is not always needed, however, and some jutsu become second nature to experienced ninja, after which they can perform them at will. Additionally, many ninjutsu can be classified as an elemental jutsu, in those cases where a specific element (wind, water, fire, earth, lightning) is used. It can be used in collaboration with Taijutsu to create Nintaijutsu techniques.

Genjutsu (幻術; Literally meaning "Illusionary Techniques") are techniques that are employed in the same fashion as ninjutsu, requiring chakra and hand seals. However, the primary difference between the two is that the effects of genjutsu are illusory; instead of attacking the victim's body, genjutsu techniques manipulate the flow of chakra in the victim's brain, thus causing a disruption in their senses.
Genjutsu is created when a ninja extends their chakra flow through the cerebral nervous system of their opponent to control their mind's chakra, thereby affecting their five senses. Those with special abilities like the Uchiha clan's Sharingan or with high intelligence have an easier time executing and countering genjutsu, as attention to detail is key. Those under the influence of genjutsu either freeze in place or lose consciousness, depending on how capable they are in recognizing and defending against it.

Kenjutsu (剣術; Literally meaning "Sword Technique") pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be shinobi or samurai. Kenjutsu can be used in combination with taijutsu, ninjutsu and/or chakra flow in order to achieve more devastating techniques.
The entire military might of the lone samurai nation of the Land of Iron, have so-far all been depicted as practitioners of kenjutsu. The Codex is that of two legendary Inka clansmen who specialized in Fuinjutsu and came to the possession of Sedina and later on passed onto her daughter Calypso in the hopes of further aiding her children and their friends in their endeavors. Kuchiyose no Jutsu (口寄せの術, Summoning Techniques) the art of summoning an Animal or series of animals. Before a summon can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species.The contract can come in the form of a scroll or a tattoo. The summoner then signs the contract in their own blood. After this, they need only perform the hand seals, offer an additional donation of blood, and use the same hand they signed the contract with to summon the creature. The amount of chakra used during the summoning determines how big the summoned creature can be. It should be noted that anyone can summon the animal as long as they have the blood from someone who has made a contract, along with sufficient chakra of their own.

[Bahamut] Bahamut is a very passive, lazy, and hungry baby blue-spotted salamander - it has a dark blue base appearing black almost with yellow spots along its backside. This lazy goof is good for a laugh, and doesnt mind it at its expense so long as there is food involved... at times he would not bother performing certain tasks if it proved too difficult or required more work than he is comfortable with, but have a treat on hand and he is certain to outperform any.

[Myugen & Eislei] Eislei meaning "Eternity" and Myugen meaning "Infinity", they are twin kittens one white and the other black. Eislei is female, black, has amber like eyes with a white spot on her right eye. Myugen is male, white, has blue eyes with a black spot on his left eye. The two are children of a line of mythological cats that can be traced down in history to the legendary and fickle creature Nekomata. Their characteristics is similar to that of their ancestor often enjoying games and playing tricks, which had allured them to Ciara who seemed fond of doing the same. The two are one in the same, and often exude a team based sort of combat style aiding one another, with a special ability to fuse together becoming a new being called "Cait Sith".

[Heliopolis] A baby Black turtle, that has a very round hefty shell which for its size can be quite daunting but an excellent shield. Heliopolis is very timid and weary around strangers, ever since Ciara's first encounter with the baby turtle trying to fend off sea-gulls gathering to gobble it up. In that moment, where the turtle was all alone Ciara came to offer it the means of joining the rest of its brothers and sisters in the sea - however Heliopolis opted to go with Ciara believing her to be its mother. .:: PASSIVE ::. [Andromeda] Andromeda has recently hatched from its cocoon which Ciara had kept stored in a jar along her travels. Its shell was lusterous changing colors depending on the time of day, she know that something special was being housed in the cocoon and wished to witness the miracle when it would transform into a beautiful butterfly. Andromeda is a very passive creature, that alters between being a butterfly in the daytime and a moth at night. Along her elegant wings lay a small powdery substance that with each flap can release a variety of poisons, although harmless to all those not viewed as a threat it can be hazardous if provoked. .:: PASSIVE ::. ~ ACADEMY CHAPTER ~ (Following are sealed memories of Calypso within her Codex in the days prior / of attending the Academy...)
Day 1)_____ Starting off school one can find it very difficult to get settled and adjusted, due to being alittle different from everyone else. But it does really help to have friends and family around to help make the transition from a child to the makings of a Shinobi... It is something my brothers and I have been trained by our parents, it is what all the endless hours of studying have been for. Momma, is always teaching us that studies will make us more successful in life - but it is also to value the arts that makes our lives enriched too. I think love may have something to do with it, and I am not short of that! Which... I am really blessed to say.
Hiro, my trouble maker and very funny - twin brother has been preparing to become one of the best Shinobi ever. He often tells me how he dreams of surpassing Father, who is a legend here in Sunagakure - and also the Kazekage. Kyo-kun is the youngest of the family but also the brightest, Momma, Poppa, and the tutors all call him a prodigy in the making - someone whose presense makes my parent's smile. I may not see it, but the warmth of their voice I can tell. My other brothers are much older than the three of us, their names are Cervantes and Balthazar. I dont know really all that much about them because they are always sent away on missions for Father and the village - but when we do get a family get together it is usually a never dull moment. Cervantes and Hiro often compete, but Cervantes-kun is mainly interested in chasing and breaking hearts. Balthazar is the more serious and disciplined sort, I imagine he is very handsome too cause Aurora often wants to play doctor with him.
Oh! I really cannot forget my friends who are like family too! There is of course the bestest "bestie" a girl can ask for - Aurora Inka-Shimura. She is a real life princess, much like her mommy - and a real blast to hang around. We have been raised together pretty much since birth, and we have this really close bond that ... I cant really describe but its practically like the one I have with Hiro, I suppose that does make us Sisters, heheh. She is though by far the most talented girl I have seen, and there isnt anything more that she loves its dance - Well there is of course boys too which we talk often about, but here's hoping my brothers or parents never read this part. Ahem, Anyway~ She has this very smart younger brother too - his name is Kennin and I know he is besties with Kyo-kun and a new member to their family a boy named Shinobu. The three of them train quite often, and are very close as well - I can tell they will be important people in the future. Its a feeling but a really good one!
Things may never have been easy growing up, but filled with alot of love and support like these guys how can a girl be sad all the time, ya know? There are at times though that yea, I do feel sad - like I feel I dont necessarily belong, and want to know why I was born the way I was and not normal like other people... but Momma says, its because maybe I am supposed to help and be role-models for others like me! I felt really happy hearing that, and dare I say - taken by the comment, cause I am abit of a clutz! There is this other boy though, one I met on a trip to Konohagakure - he seemed alone and kinda sad deep down like me. But he told me, being different isnt a bad thing either and was like - one of if not the first ever friend I made that wasnt related to me. His name was Seto, and I hope I get to meet him again.
I gotta get going, the nanny is making her rounds to make sure we are in bed. Truth be honest though, I am having difficulty falling asleep. My dreams are getting worst and worst and I am really afraid it may affect my school work. I dont know what to do, but think its best not to concern anyone with it. They may fade in time. Day 2)_____ Dear Codex,
Today became something pretty eventful, I was both really surprised and happy to find a familiar face walking in Suna's walls. It started off with Poppa's chefs whipping up one of Hiro and my favorite breakfast dishes - Pancakes! They even offered one of almost every kind imaginable, from banana - to chocolate chip - to one with any sort of berries imaginable! It was a definite treat, and just what we needed before we headed off to school.
On the way there, I noticed there some kids - bullying a new comer to the school for their lunch money. At first I didn't know what to do, but I did know it had to be something or someone was going to get hurt. There is nothing else I could do but offer to toss my own lunch money at the gang that have begun tossing the other boy around. With the ryo scattered on the ground, I tried to take his hand and make away to the safety of the Academy walls - but they were too fast and we were eventually led into an enclosed alley. I have to say the thought of getting pummeled scared me very much, I can also feel the fear in the boy as he squeezed my hand. I tried to offer him comfort - but he could not understand what I was doing with my hands.
Feeling the pursuers cast their shadows over us, the boy and I huddled together while I tried to blanket him - thinking because I am a girl they would be a little easy on the both of us. Something then happened to them, the bullies were chased off and left crying... the boy crouched under me said a scary shadow appeared over us that frightened them off. I was unsure what he meant by it until I heard gentle flapping in the cooling breeze. A clothes-line was overhead with its shadow cast to make it seem like a shadowy figure. Kyo-kun, my youngest brother, then found us in the alley and offered to help us get back to school despite being a little late. I don't know why but... I feel as if Kyo had something to do with chasing off the bullies.
After school I stayed after in the study hall, and help the librarian put the books away. But I already had plans of visiting my bestie, Aurora-chan. I try to see her almost every day or as much as possible - she always seems to have a gathering of some sort at her home, and it is no surprise because she is a very popular girl in school - and her parents are just as popular in the shinobi world. Hiro-kun came by study hall, complaining about how we have too many books... He is a funny individual, but I wouldn't have anything about him change.
When we arrived at Aurora-chan's family compound, I was surprised to see there was already a large gathering. And there I had got to meet a familiar face! Seto Uchiha Shikyo has stopped by Sunagakure, as he and his classmates may possibly be staying here for a couple of days before heading back to Kumo. It has only been a year almost, but I knew nothing has really changed about him - he was still the kind boy I met back in Konoha. There I also got to meet Aurora-chan's husband Rei-san, or rather... ex-husband. It is unfortunate but he had admitted to cheating on Aurora, which had caused my bestie a great deal of heartache. I dont know how she does it, but she seemed to have recovered rather swiftly but I figured she may want to use one of Poppa's laxative concoctions, which she did.
And then, it happened... Kishi-chan of the "Luka & Kishi" duo was in the Inka compound! I couldnt believe my ears, but I heard her voice at a distance conversing with someone and I just -had- to get her autograph. She was a really nice individual to offer it to me, I just didnt have much time to talk to her unfortunately as she had to leave shortly after. But I do have the autograph and cannot wait to show it to Aurora ^_^
Today was filled with alot of excitement, and there is no telling what tomorrow will bring. Take care, and until we meet again~!
Day 3)_____ Hello Codex~
Another day and new experiences to be shared - however I dont feel that most of them are exactly pleasant... Well, it started off pretty good. After waking up, Hiro and I be brushing our teeth together and I asked him what he thought about Seto, the Uchiha friend I made in Konoha some time ago. My brother didnt seem all that enthused to meet him, but I think its only because the two havent gotten to know each other. After we got dressed and went down to join the family for breakfast, I noticed Poppa was missing - apparently he had a super duper important meeting in Kumogakure. Momma let us know that he would be back within a couple of days which is surprising because, it normally takes weeks to get to Kumogakure right? Poppa is full of surprises that way, heheheh.
While we were eating, Momma was informed of the fact I was late to class - and made Kyo-kun late too yesterday... She asked what the reason behind it was because I left several minutes earlier to ensure I would be on time. Momma and I have a really close bond, which is why telling her something like " I got lost " wouldnt suffice - it is a sign of distrust in what our relationship is. Kyo-kun reassured me by talking in my head, that it would be alright if I told her. I decided I had too, because family doesnt keep any secrets from each other.
After telling Momma about yesterday morning's incident, it seemed to have riled up Hiro wanting to beat up the bullies who tried to pick on me and the new boy in school. Kyo reassured that they weren't much of an issue, since they were afraid of their own shadow - but Momma didn't want to take the chance and asked for one of the house attendants to escort us to school. When we got there, I noticed the boy was missing and the bullies were no where to be heard. I figured, it would be an ok day... but it did get better when I was in the same class with Aurora, we were studying hand seals and learning abit about the fundamentals of chakra. I was hoping we could do some exercises but we didn't get a chance to that day, in either case I made sure to help Aurora take notes as we were also passing notes along to each other from time to time. I could sense some of the animosity towards us, partially because Aurora says we are the pretty girls in school while the others were kind of jealous because of that. Aurora though is more than just pretty, she is really sincere, caring, and smart - with a talent for fashion and the arts, especially dancing. Aunty Seo said that Aurora practically learned to Dance before she started walking, which I always found adorable.
After school I decided to stay after and help at the study hall in tutoring a few classmates, Aurora and the others already left to her family's compound and I told them I would meet them there once I was done. Helping my classmates understand the fundamentals of handsealing, and how chakra was formed did give me a sense of pride - as if I was really making a difference in helping them. The Librarian asked if I wished to become a tutor for the school, I did shy away from the thought but... it was a big responsibility and one I would have happily taken on.
Arriving at the Inka Compound an hour later, I would have already heard a large gathering - and the air around them did seem intense... it would appear that Seto-kun was the center of it all. I walked up to greet everyone, and overheard my brother say I should not come into contact with Seto because of his cootie - AIDS. I wasnt sure exactly what he meant by it, but Hiro-kun said all Uchiha and Hojo have it, its what Aunty Seohyun said. Seto did not like such accusations in the least, and they visibly had an issue with him simply being an Uchiha. I inquiried why Aunty Seohyun would say something like that, when Ms. Lirin and others stated it was do to her previous relationship with an Uchiha.
Such gossip of former love-tales, especially when it comes to Aunty Seohyun immediately peeked my interest. They said that she had a former love, prior to marrying Uncle Kenshin - and his name was Saoren Uchiha. Apparently a very bad man, who has stained the name of Uchiha on more than one occassion - but I have heard of his name before by Poppa and his attendants. He is infact the Raikage? How can a kage be bad, and it is then when Seto voiced out that Sao-sama was making ammends and proving his worth as a kage. It showed Seto's devotion to his clansmen, and then someone else mentioned that Uncle Kenshin too, married a Uchiha prior to Aunty Seohyun. So how can the Uchiha be all that bad? I figured it may be alittle bit of hurt that Aunty Seohyun still feels over Sao, after moving on to a sage named Jubei, and then somehow taken over by Sao again, until lastly she found true love with Kenshin. It was a very confusing love triangle, but it is one of those stories that should be made into a novel.
Seto-kun however continued to reject the idea he has or ever did have cootie-AIDs. Dragon-sama stood up for his student and ensured me of such as well. I was confused of the situation, but asked if there was any cure for it to Ms. Lirin. She said that Seto most likely doesnt either, which did relieve me - but the others continued to slander him which was upsetting. Because these people were my family... and Seto is a new friend of mine I would like to keep. I was up to my boiling point before I could not take anymore, so I kissed his forehead - or tried to but ended up kissing his hair to show I didnt care if he had it or not. Neither did I care if any of them were to have cootie-AIDs too. Because I like them for who they are, and hoped if given the chance they would like Seto as well. My brother, Hiro-kun, and Seto tried to work things out in a spar, I didnt like it much but had to leave alittle afterwards. Seto did lose, and Hiro was sent to the hospital but he recovered swiftly there after.
When I did come back after picking up my books in school, I took Seto, Dragon-sama, and Pheonix-sama with me to play at my house. On the way there, it seemed there was tension between Dragon-sama and Pheonix-sama too... I wasnt sure of what kind but when I tried to bring them together they seemed to repel each other. It was disheartening...
We stopped by the study, figuring that it would be a nice big place for us to play. I offered to give Seto one of my favorite books too, because I know it must have been difficult for him to adjust - it was my favorite story that Poppa would always read to me, Sleeping Beauty. I offered to teach Seto braille, because most of the books in the study have braille as well to help me with my studies. Seto did have difficulty, but he opted to read it out loud for me, Dragon-sama, and Pheonix-sama. Hiro-kun arrived for story time as well, but I would have dozed off sometime in the middle of the story telling. Seto-kun's voice was very soothing to me, and when he read the story of "Sleeping Beauty" I just felt more at peace than I ever felt for the 2 weeks... The dreams have kept me up from time to time, the nightmares getting stronger but at that moment I felt safe.
I would eventually wake up, around dinner time to realize I was back in my room. And immediately began studying for fuinjutsu arts as it would be tomorrows lesson. Afterwards I joined my family for dinner with Hiro still alittle scraped up from the spar, and my Momma was supportive of his endeavors. Despite him liking getting mangled, I abhor the idea and wish he came to his senses about it. There is no changing Hiro, and I shouldnt try to - because for better or worst he is my twin brother and I will always be there for him.

Day 4)_____ Dear Codex~
Today was the most fun and active day I had in a very long time, I cannot wait to share with you what happened. At school today, I met up with this new boy in my fuinjutsu class he said his name was Maikeru Karaiou - and seemed very bright too. It seems we both shared a real liking in Fuinjutsu and that he wishes to practice Puppet technique in order to better himself. Later on just a few minutes before the bell would ring for the school to end, I was visited by Aunty Saori who came by to visit me. She asked the teacher if I could be excused - which the teacher surprisingly agreed to since it was a half day. Aunty Saori is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, she is very organized and is aware about most things going on in both Sunagakure and Konohagakure, in part due to being the daughter of Seohyun and Kenshin.
She has this really unique and special gift despite not being part of the Inka clan originally, she has found her own inner strength through their family and that is a sort of connection with weather patterns itself. I noticed this one time when I was 6, when all of a sudden it would have become alittle chilly - and it was rare because it is never chilly in Suna and in the middle of the day, but it seemed Saori was upset about something - possibly a lost patient at work... But the weather shifted because she was sad, there is a link between the two. Hyobe-san, who is her boyfriend and a very gifted shinobi, tended to her alot in the past 5 years. We are crossing our fingers for the day they get married, heheh.
Once outside of the academy, it was surprising to hear that Aunty Saori had planned on teaching me my first Ninjutsu! I just barely understood the fundamentals on chakra usage and how it works. but I was also really excited, since it was my very first time in tapping into my chakra. The technique she wished to teach us was "Bunshin-no-Jutsu", something I seen the upper classmen perform. It took a while but I did manage to master it, and then one of the sempais from the academy came around seeking to teach us more jutsu. We couldnt resist! Jack-san, this really tall and lively Takumi along with my brother Hiro, and this new girl, went to go and train with her. Only to be stuck in some sort of genjutsu that really scared me...
We would have used team work to try and escape the dungeon, including the jutsu that we had just previously learned... only to realize it was all an illusion! I never would have thought genjutsu was so potent, its why I am such an admirer of it. But I hope to learn more and grow stronger to be of use for Sunagakure. I gotta try and keep up with the others first, heheh. Well thats all for today, night Codex!
Day 5)_____ Dear Codex~
After an amazing day yesterday of training with my friends and family, I was really excited and felt as if I am making real progress in becoming a shinobi. The words Ms. Lirin offered me, really helped out. I felt renewed with affirmation that I had to be competent enough to help protect my family, and be more self-dependant like the great women role-models like my Momma.
Early in the afternoon as soon as I came back from school, Momma sat down with me to talk about my path as a possible shinobi. Momma asked how my training was going, overhearing my progress yesterday - most likely one of her attendants found out or Hiro-kun told. But I was really proud of myself, and so was she... however I can sense some worry in her tone. Momma expressed that being a shinobi isnt exactly for everyone. That despite how amazing it would seem to us children, it is a path led by much blood and toil. I knew the moment Hiro-kun first sparred, that fighting alone isnt what I would want to see or be apart of...
Momma continued to let me know that there are other paths one may take, whether as a healer, a politician, or maybe a philosopher like members of her clan - the great Takara. Momma is a leading member of her clan, with the Takara being brilliant minded individuals who have grown in all forms of the mind, body, and spirit. Momma reminded me I am too part of that clan through her - and that I can opt to becoming something else in time if I so chose. It was shortly revealed why Momma was feeling so concerned over my future, it is because she was afraid of my handicap possibly being the cause for myself or those around me getting hurt on missions as a shinobi.
I knew deep down, ever since I came aware of being different from everyone else that I would have a more difficult road. I was told that the challanges can be overcome, if there was anyone who could do it - that it would be me. But the fact of the matter is that no matter how hard I will try, being blind will be my most greatest weakness. If I will not be holding others back - I will only be the cause for them getting hurt or worst. Momma... was right, she always is. It hurt to know the truth, but it was such - that I had to accept it. I still dont know what my path will be but I hope that no matter what I will not be distanced from my family as they start their journey as shinobi.
After a long discussion, one of the attendants informed me that Seto came over to play, which Momma said she was ok with letting me go to have fun. Seto seemed a lot more happier today which really made me happy too. He came over to give me something, and to tell me that despite unable to play with me today he wanted me to know that he is sorry and may make it up next time. I don't see why he would have to make it up to me, but he is a very sweet boy - the kind of side that I dont know if many people know about. A Chunin instructor then came by the palace, looking for Hiro to teach him a lesson on Bunshin technique. I was happy for Hiro because it would be the last jutsus he would need in order to take the Graduation exam which would be in a couple of days I think. I was 1 jutsu short myself, which Hiro somehow new - and asked if I could come along.
The words Momma shared with me did cling to my head, and I knew that... maybe it wouldnt be the best idea. Hiro and Momma though encouraged that I go, to at least try and learn which I managed to over the great many times of falling into the water. Even skidding once to crash into a brick wall and breaking my nose... Hiro-kun though used the link we shared to take the pain for me. He is always looking out for me, and I dont want him to be stuck doing that for the rest of his life - I want him to enjoy his time as a child instead of always babysitting me. It is one of those moments that I am both agitated and thankful that he is around, because without Hiro in my life I dont know if my heart would be as fulfilled as it is now. Even with my friends around, Hiro is a part of my life that is really precious to me... I cannot be the cause of him missing out, getting hurt, or even worst.
There is alot to think things over Codex, I dont have much time with the academy graduation exam approaching... but I will try to figure out what my destiny is even if it isnt one as a shinobi.
Day 6)_____ Dear Codex~
So close... It is so close to the Academy graduation exams that everyone in school and at home is exstatic. Hiro-kun and I have just finished learning our last few techniques required to partake in the exams, while my other brother Kyo has finished learning these jutsu for weeks in advance. He doesnt seem to require much training required for the graduation exams, but we all know he is a sure win to pass the test. Aurora says that Kennin-kun is the same exact way, that he is acting very cool and calm about it while we are both getting stressed over it and cramming information as much as we could. We decided to spend the day studying at her place, and asked my Momma prior if I would be able to sleep over - which she didnt seem to mind.
Aurora and I would have spent the whole day studying and practicing ninjutsu, in the hopes of being "ready"... but can someone really be ready? Well, someone like me who is at a disadvantage that is... I had told Hiro-kun the day before about what Momma said, and that I agreed with it... because it was the truth. He was being his usual supportive self though, and said that no matter what that we would still remain close - no matter what path I chose he would support me no matter what. The talk with Momma really did open up my options, and I was really interested in talking with Aunty Seo about how she became such a legendary shinobi - despite not getting caught up in much fighting.
She told me us her beginnings as a small child, who used to be infact alot like Aurora and I by often relying on her bigger brother Mithrajin. He was Aurora's uncle that she never got to meet and died mysteriously, Seohyun often calls him a hero but refuses to really tell us much about her brother- most likely because of how much it would hurt. She continued to say that the pair were twins with a very strong bond, and destined to lead their clan to great heights - which I think they definitely did. And despite her dislike for fighting she would have a strong passion and gift in healing - the likes of which they say surpassed any in Sunagakure by a young age. Even reaching heights in her carrier as managing Sunagakure's hospital which at the time was utilizing the most advanced techniques found in all of the shinobi world. Eventually her talent and love for the village would have proved itself to becoming Kazekage one day, and acknowledged as a one of the most powerful kunoichi. All of this though, did not seem possible without her brother - and the bonds she made with everyone along the way. Even if those closest to her have passed on, she continues to remind herself the sacrifices and the will that they passed onto her - which can be the will to lead her clan, the wisdom needed to aid a village, the compassion offered to her patience, and at times the stubborn refusal to lose in the face of a challange.
Althought I couldnt see Seohyun hurting, I could feel it in my heart and in her voice so I offered to hold her with Aurora. She told us that it will soon be time for us to take part in our own adventures, and offer Sunagakure our services in everything that we do. Because even as a village, we are regarded as "family"... something that Poppa also believes in, a sense of unity.
It seems that even the strong shinobi like Aunty Seohyun also had a beginning much like us, which is really exciting to think that we will maybe reach that kind of status - or at least the others will. But even if I dont become a shinobi, I will never give up and take the lessons I learned in doing my best to serve the village and my family. Its getting pretty late, I should hit the hay. ... I dont know what just happened, I had one of the nightmares again but it felt so real. So much fighting, so much death, I tried to ask them to stop but it didnt seem they heard me let alone see me. High up on a mountainside was a man, as if standing dominant over everything he is looking on - the pile dead warriors, that even slain to the ground continued to fight so fiercely. The blood itself drenched the land, with banners from every shinobi nation in the world. And the man would just smile, with a most curious gaze - eyes that despite never seeing I knew were unique... rings of a feint purple color. I wouldnt realize it at first as I was looking at the carnage, bodies torn open and the war cries causing me intense such intense pain. It is as if I could feel their pain, their grief - and even hate... Then when I turned to look back at the man he was set before me, looking straight into my soul or what appeared like it - as if I did not belong... and then began to strangulate me with one hand. While I was kicking and trying to scream for help but no sound would escape my mouth... and slowly it would have all faded black.
When I woke up, I felt Aurora's hand firmly squeezing my hand as she whispers in concern. Drawing the attention of a few of the Inka attendants - as they said I was screaming... screaming... asking to stop. I didnt understand how it was possible, when I dont even have the capabilities to speak. Right now, Aurora is watching me fill out this journal entry, and most likely going to stay up with me until I could fall asleep while we are drinking some hot coco to calm our nerves. Why - why does this keep happening to me? Why cant I just be normal...
Day 7)_____ Dear Codex...
Today marks one of the most important days of my life, that is if I could get through the day that is. The Academy Graduation exams have arrived, all the hard work that me and my friends have gone through is about to pay off. Aunty Seo made sure Aurora, Kennin, Shinobu, and Hiyozaki each had a hearty breakfast before we headed off to the academy. It is a major deal and something I am both excited over and nervous as well. I went over the handsealing procedures in my hand, reviewed my notes on chakra and its affinities, and even double checked some brief historical questions they may ask on Sunagakure. It was alot of work and stress, but Seohyun and I did feel confident in ourselves that we would do well - although... not as well as Kennin and Kyo-kun who both would most likely ace the test.
When we entered the academy, finding the classroom apparently was in an of itself a test - but once we did find it. The classroom would have swelled rapidly with people. Luckily everyone made it, even Kyo-kun who arrived late - most likely doing some last minute reviews. The sempai seemed nice, as she offered me a type writer to fill out the answers in braille. Although... it was rather loud and I hope that I didnt make such a ruckus to distract the others.
The questions on the test seemed near impossible, things I never would have thought would be on the test - or perhaps I lacked the foresight to study... In either case, I did try my best and that is all I could have been able to do. Unfortunately, I didnt feel as if even my best would have been accepted shinobi worthy, when asked... "What is your Nindo? " I firmly believed a Nindo is something only Shinobi are permitted to have, it is their code or purpose for serving as a ninja. I wasnt worthy to have such - so I left, with Hiro-kun chasing after me...
We both talked abit in the graveyard, he tried to show that I am capable if I only kept doing what I was doing - and focused on some of my strengths to overcome my weaknesses. But Momma's words still stuck with me, because they were true as well. Hiro, despite not agreeing with me did offer his support no matter what road I may take. I could only do the same for him and the others, because I know in my heart of hearts - that they have what it takes to become great. It would be nice to see them grow into legendary shinobi that I know they will achieve.
We then decided to head back home before it got too late, and when we arrived - a mail order from the academy was sent to us. We had graduated! ... And our head bands were sent to us. It was definitely one of those moments you have to question if it was real or not, but sure enough it was! Thank you to whatever guardian angel looking after me, and I pray you will keep an eye out on not only myself but also my brothers, and other kinsmen. Thank you Codex for hearing me out again, tomorrow I wake up as a Kunoichi of Sunagakure! Heheh, night!
